My daughter is colonized with pseudomonas in the past and has a trache. Now she is sick again and the doctors won’t do any another culture because it will come back positive. Will this positive culture ever go away? What can be done to get it gone. Chest X-ray looks good. Blood test was all good.

Hi, pseudomonas is usually treated by nebulising Gentamicin or Colymycin. Not everyone can tolerate these antibiotics. It can take many weeks of nebulising to put the pseudomonas into remission. I'm surprised your doctor has not recommended this treatment.
