My symptoms are moderate (no pain in the arm or jaw etc) with just a tightening in the centre of the chest with very brisk uphill walking. The discomfort is actually worse when i am

The Rheumatology Saga Continues!
UPDATE..... Was offered an NHS Rheumatologist appointment today due to a late cancellation and I thought I'd take it rather than wait until February to see my Benenden Rheumatologist. I met a Dr Chung and he was absolutely lovely.....spent 45 mins running me through everything and checking my results

Hello I am hoping to start a new medication after being on Rituxumab for a few years. Blood checks all ok , but had to have a Chest X-Ray as not had one done for a while, so recently had this done and assumed it would be ok. In work on Friday, and i get a text to say I've been booked an appointment

Pneumonia
Hi. I had my follow up chest x-ray for pneumonia 3 weeks ago and the good news is that it's come back clear. I'm really pleased but I'm still coughing at night and feel a bit breathless in the mornings. I told the doctor when he rang me with the results and he said, the infection has gone but lungs take

Mini Stroke Post Heart Attack
Hi folks Was just wondering if this has happened to anyone? Iāve had a couple of āfunny turnsā recently and a particularly bad one on Thursday evening which ironically was exactly one year to the day since my HA. Ended up in A&E all night getting various tests. ECG, bloods x 2 (initial troponin

Good PMR specialist in Bristol/WestonSM?
GP diagnosed me with PMR in May 2022. I had difficulties reducing below 18mg so she referred me to a consultant at Bristol Royal Infirmary. He is very kind and sympathetic but refuses to confirm the diagnosis of PMR. He says I am too young - Iām 56 - and heās run every test in the book on me (MRI, PET

Follow up x-ray pneumonia
Hi everyone. I rang my surgery today to see if my follow up chest x-ray results were in. I had possible pneumonia diagnosed 4 weeks ago, apparently the 'possible' meant that the mass on my x-ray was tiny, anyway the surgery said my results were in and I had to make a telephone consultation appointment

Asthma anxiety
Hello everyone, I am just writing a post as I wanted to see if I am alone in this and whether anyone has any suggestions to help. I will give a bit of a backstory to this. I had mild asthma from the age of 13 however it wasn't serious enough that my parents never took me to get diagnosed. Fast forward

I posted recently about being sent for a PET CT scan as I have leg claudication in addition to my usual PMR and GCA. Got my results and plan today. Scan positive in head, most of aorta, both legs and left arm. I expect my right arm feels left out š. Anyway, back to 60mg prednisone and consultant is

CARDIAC COUGH
I have had a cough since going into heart failure. It is getting worse all the time. I knew it was to do with my heart but my g.p. sent me for a chest x-ray which is clear and l did a sputum test which showed no infection. I have been trying to get referred to the cardiologist which my g.p. seems

Newbie here :)
Hi all, I've been using this site for a couple of months now so I thought it was time to introduce myself š. I first realised that my symptoms were a bit more than 'getting older' in May this year. My RA diagnosis and treatment has been delayed, firstly by having to wait 2 months for an ultrasound

Overdosing bisoprolol- can anyone offer advice?
I donāt know whether it is where I live ( the NW) but I really struggle to get appropriate treatment. Anyway I picked up my meds on Saturday. Opened them in the car and noticed my bisoprolol was suddenly in 5 mg tablets not 2.5 mg. I went back into the pharmacy to be told that I have been on 5 mg tablets
