Chest x ray times resultwise

hi again , how long does it take to get chest x ray results back ? Its been 22 days now , phone yesterday and docs receptionist says no sign of them yet

I should have thought they would be back by now! Usually they say 2 weeks. So even with delays the information should have been sent to gp by now. What with Christmas and then immediately another doctor’s strike I fear your wait will be even longer.

Personally next week I would be phoning and requesting a gp appointment. Ultimately it’s the gp (or under their direction) who needs to chase the X-ray results. Gp may very well not realise how long you have been waiting and your (natural) anxiety about this.

had nurse last week told her, she just said oh its not in yet. Its not a surprise way our nhs is now , prob lost. Ta for reply merry xmas

Not long at all a few days normally I know they say a week to 10 days

My xray results turn up on the NHS app, pretty immediately if ordered by a and e, a week or so for gp, and I never see them if ordered by consultant

I had an xray about the 14 Dec 6 weeks after being discharge from hospital with pneumonia. Was told it would be after Christmas before I got the results .
