A Fib again
I have had a fib for 4 years and been advised it will not damage your heart. Cardiology advise that the terrible tiredness I get is due to something else. I cannot take beta-blockers because they lower my blood pressure, making me ill. Fleccanaide has no effect. Following a chest x-ray, (all clear)

Third try at posting, this time not members only
I went to the Urgent CAre centre last Thursday because my BP monitors had been showing an erratic beat every day for 5 days They did a very brief ECG, blood test and chest x ray, told me I had atrial ectopics , gave me antibiotics for goodness knows what and sent me home. Friday , Monday and Tuesday

A LITTLE CONFUSED
Just got back from the VA emergency room where I was told to go immediately by the VA nurse advice hotline. Fell asleep in my computer chair and when I awoke I put my oximeter on my finger and it showed a reading for heart rate of 37 but after a couple of blips went right up to normal which is around

Breathless and clammy
I suffered a heart attack in Spain on the 6th March 2022, I had 2 stents fitted as my right artery was completely blocked and my left artery was very narrow. I have recovered well, but just recently I have become breathless even when just having a conversation, also a feeling of being very clammy a few

I just want to quit GCA!
I have tapered down to a 5mg/4mg alternating dose. Have had some issues with shoulder pain, scotomas and pressure back in temples. Went back up to 5mg which seemed to help. (How does 1mg make such a difference?) Last week I came down with my grandson’s croup the rheumatologist nurse said to not do my

My body is playing silly B's again but I'm not laughing.
Hi everyone hope you are keeping as well as you can, off for my covid jab this weekend. I've had a whirlwind week and a half after having a funny turn in the supermarket went to GPs who sent me for a chest x-ray and all hell broke loose. X-ray Friday, Monday phone call from GP and from hospital. Tuesday

unsure about diagnosis.
I am 77 and just had spirometry test and been diagnosed with severe COPD. Chest X-ray normal, sputum normal, oxygen 99%., no crackles or wheezing. No breathlessness just morning and evening chesty cough a few times which sometimes means expelling clear phlegm but not always. I have not been prescribed

Tight chest ~ waiting for angiogram
Hi everyone. I went into A&E last weekend with chest tightness and some breathing difficulty, along with some other symptoms. They were brilliant, kept me in for a couple of days, lots of ECGs, a chest X-ray and contrast CT to rule out a PE, which was clear. Long story short, ECG shows some ischemic
