Update on breathlessness

Having ruled out any immediate issues with my heart, lung function tests have been done now. The results were sent to Aberdeen and I have had a chest x-ray and am waiting for the feedback.

The Chest Clinic in Aberdeen want to see me for more detailed tests and have referred me for a CT scan. There is a backlog for routine scans and the priority will depend on the x-ray results.

No timescale as yet but at least I am now in the system.

Good that they have been able to rule out any immediate issues, hopefully your chest X-ray will be ok too and it’s good that you are now in the system for the Chest Clinic - hopefully you won’t have to wait too long.

Sadly if nothing shows on the x-ray or unless my condition worsens it is likely to be a while before anything else happens.

So, a classic good news/bad news. Let's hope those tests show nothing major but it must be a comfort to know that you're on the conveyor belt that is the NHS.
