Off topic. In Wales visiting sister 😄
Well now on new pain killers and patch I decided time to go away. We are in chilly but sunny Wales visiting my sister. It's done us both a world of good! Menorca booked for end of may too! Last day today but we'll be back 😉😎😎

Hello, having been previously fit and well, I was surprised to have a an ever increasing amount of severe pain in my shoulders, hips and wrists in July 2022. Blood tests showed high levels of Calcium and a diagnosis of Hyperparathyroidism was made. However pain increased despite very large painkiller

Radio 4 this morning...Kirsty talking about

and followed by Hilary M on steroid treatment she had.. Worth a listen to both. HM said she finally found a good doctor who understood that 'you have to live, until you are cured'....looking for the treatment that allows a quality of life.

Is PharmaGaba good or bad for PD folks?
HWP is going to try and get off of gabapentin for his
chronic
pain
, have read this can be very difficult. People have posted (on reddit) it is worse than getting of opiods. That sound pretty scary. Online threads have said taper very slowly and take magnesium and b vitamins.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. i will stay on 11mg pred for the time being. I am really struggling with the side effects of the various pain killers, blood pressure meds and water tablets; everything seems to list nausea, constipation and sleepiness as a side effect. Just looking for some advice really … I went to the EPAU yesterday for scan and bloods as I had a positive pregnancy, which has turned out to be a false positive. I’m on CD 35 and I got my peak OPK on the evening of CD 23 around 9pm. My scan showed a nicely thickened womb lining (with a white fluffy

heart palpitations anxiety
hey guys. Me again, sorry to bother and ramble on, the past 3 days I’ve been having a few heart palpitations a day. Now I did phone my doctors and they told me this didn’t sound serious and it was normal. They said if the palpitations were regular every few minutes it would be a concern. I get 2 or 3

RA reaction to medication would like general advice on how to manage RA
Hello, I’ve had a reaction to medication I was on for an over active thyroid, which has given me RA symtoms, came on very suddenly so hoping it will eventually clear (have read can take 3/4 weeks). Have been referred to a rheumatoid specialist but apparently it might take months for an appointment. I

When to test and hope needed
We had a day 3 fresh transfer of 3 embryos using own eggs yesterday. My clinic is doing the hcg test on day 12 (5th Oct). We'd like to prepare ourselves in case of disappointment especially as we have to travel to London from south Wales for the test. Would testing on day 11 give an accurate result?I'm
