COVID risk to CLL patients with the reopening of schools
I think it was the first time ever that the words
Chronic
Lymphocytic
Leukaemia
was used in our parliament. We would love to know is there any other CLL families in a similar boat and also should we push for the guidelines to be changed to protect high risk family members.

I need advice please!
Hi everyone! I am 5 days late so I been testing with 1st Response and getting faint positives so my question is: do you think its a chemical pregnancy or low hcg levels?

Day 9- HCG trigger shot
Hey guys, just another quick update. I've been in a tizzy the last couple of days. When I was getting my medications, they told me not to get my Lupron trigger yet because it's only good for 14 days, after which you have to discard it, used or unused. Fast forward, after my weekend baseline ultrasound

VenR in Relapsed CLL: 4-Year Results and Evaluation of Impact of Genomic Complexity and Gene Mutations from MURANO 3 study
This is an important evaluation and insight into how your CLL profile affects your response to VR in relapsed and refractory CLL. Sadly it looks like bad genetics is still relatively bad news in terms of PFS even on VenR. "[i]In previous analyses of the MURANO study, fixed-duration venetoclax plus rituximab

Failed pregnancy
So I had my 6 week scan on Sunday and they couldn’t find the sac. My HCG levels are dropping. Looks like the embryo stopped growing. I’m so gutted it didn’t work out this time. It was our first fresh transfer, so I feel lucky we got a positive. It was my first ever positive result. We have been trying

Some good news and hope
A very special day today. My wife Jan was diagnosed with an incurable blood cancer CLL this day 9 years ago age 39. We are in Ireland. After 3 very sick years we were fortunate that she was able to access a clinical trial in the UK and in 2014 started a drug Ibrutinib which targets the cancer. Her

Bleeding in early pregnancy- is this the end? Please help!
Just woke up to find i’m bleeding like a period when I wipe. Really worried. Is this the start of a miscarriage? Not cramping right now but have had some crampy feelings yesterday. Not too bad, thought more pregnancy related pulling type sensations. I’m 5+1 today. We put two embryos in and my hcg was

Success stories after two early miscarriages
2020 just seems to be a blur. We started our IVF journey this time last year and was so hopeful. We were lucky to get six top quality embryos (all 5 and 4 graded). Initially, we thought everything was going so well, our fresh transfer gave us our first ever BFP then a week later I miscarried. Because

ICC ruled in favor of AOP Orphan Pharmaceuticals AG in arbitration proceedings pertaining to BESREMi®
«We are relieved that the ICC ruling compensates AOP Orphan now for the delay in getting BESREMi® approved in the European Union, and the delay in bringing this important medication to the patients suffering from polycythaemia vera, a rare and chronic disease of the blood building cells", explains Dr

Going well so far with MF on Ruxolitinib
When I was diagnosed with post ET Myelofibrosis in August, I was terrified and extremely grateful for the support on this forum. I thought I would just update you and let you know that Ruxolitinib appears to be working well for me. My counts are still not great but are, to quote my haematology nurse,

Night Sweats
I was diagnosed with CLL May of 2018. Still on wait & watch. I am 61. Over the last 40 years I would get periodic night sweats, very randomly. Once a year, then over the last 20 years, I would have a few night sweats year. Over the last 5 years, I get them a few days in a row, then nothing for months

Kidney Biopsy and igA nephropathy (UPDATE POST-BIOPSY)
Hi. I am due for a kidney biopsy next week and wasn't given much tips on what to prepare or not do post biopsy other than stay in bed for 6hrs. Doctor told me that I might have igAn based on my proteinuria and high hematuria. I am very concerned as I am only 24 years old and a female trying to start

Liquid e-cigarette flavorings measurably injure lungs.
Known for their appetizing flavors, such as bubblegum, banana and strawberry, e-cigarettes continue to grow in popularity around the world. Promoted by makers as a “healthy” alternative to regular tobacco cigarettes, researchers are finding e-cigarettes, or vaping, still result in injury to the lungs
