Pegasys skin?

Has anyone else had their skin turn into rough, dry, chicken skin on large parts of their bodies after taking Pegasys? Mine started out with itchiness, and now the skin itself is weird. I've used tons of lotion, including Sarna. I have also taken Beta Alanine orally. Problem is growing worse. Any solutions out there?

I found after a year on peg I started getting dark rough scab type lumps on my body skin. On sides & soft skin areas. If you leave it dry it eventually rubs off or drops off after a couple of months. Moisturiser doesn’t rectify it . But I had not read this as a side effect . Julia UK 👌

So far mine are widespread over my body. Mostly the core, back, abdomen, rear end. Itches, and feels like chicken skin where the feathers have been pulled out. I'm a farm girl by birth!

Hi, best to get this checked out by your GP to rule out any other cause for this, and then discuss with your haematologist. They may also be able to advise you on something to help with this. Best wishes, Maz

I am seeing my hematologist before my Primary care Doc, so I will talk to him. Since he hasn't taken the drug himself, I wanted to ask people who have taken it before talking to him.

I have ET and my skin is just like chicken skin it wasn’t before I started oral chemo

What treatment are you on? I didn't have this for the 5 years I was on Hydroxyurea. Had other issues, mostly gastrointestinal on that. Now different side effects. Not sure which are worse. What have you tried for your skin? Has anything worked?

Yep I hear ya been on it for over 12 months n my skin is dry with red spots itchy back drives me spare. AU
