I do not want to smoke again and very sure of this, is the champix really making me stop or is it my will power thats working now???????

Apart from the blip in April when I smoked 18 cigs over a few days, then picked myself up, ditched the junk Champix and carried on. 19 weeks of stress, misery, tears, and hair pulling later how do I feel. Umm, exactly the same. Could still quite happily smoke.

Hi all, have been taking champix for 3 weeks now and stopped smoking the end of the 1st week, not being crude but having major probs with bowl movements, used to be daily now 3-4 days, has any one else had this problem?

Have not smoked for 8 days I'm using champix which got from doctor, I am amazed how quick they worked and I have not had any cravings since taking them and it is really weird

I 'cheated' the pharmacy into giving me champix by blowing zero on the meter they use. I did this by using an e-cig and NRT for 72 hours prior to my consultation. I wanted to have the tablets in so I could quit in my own time without having to keep going to the pharmacy.

2) i am due off the Champix soon, are there any asverse withdrawal symptoms with that? Will the cravings for nic get me? Any info would be gratefully recieved Sue xx

Last year I attempted to stop smoking and was given Champix (which as well as assisting stopping smoking, is an anti-depressant) and that did not go well as they made me sick and and really affected my ability to work and think straight!

I don't know anything about this condition and my doctor has said it is rare in someone my age (although I am a smoker who has smoked for just 6 years currently on champix desperate to quit) My doctor is sending me for more tests to test my enzymes(?!)

I am on day 14 of champix, still in shock that I haven't smoked. I have smoked 30/40 cigarettes every day for the past 37 years. I just desperately want to stay stopped. I would say I am a happy smoker!, I loved it, didn't really want to quit but thought I'd give it a go.

Ive tried everything from patches to hypnotherapy to acupuncture to champix. Until today I thought I was totally helpless and quite possibly condemmed to a life of smoking and more than likely a life cut short.

I have tried patches gum champix hypnosis all fails trying to cut down with these e cigarettes they help keep me away from the drink which has damaged my liver. Need the next stage away from smokes and alcohol that have put me where I am now - not a good place.
