Generic TCZ---is it available in the UK?
My friends, Without this forum, my GCA journey would have been entirely different. You have all been there to support me, educate me, and reinforce me when I thought I was sinking. It has always made me sad that TCZ is only available to GCA patients for one year, subject to review for an additional

This was issued specifically re: Prolia, with no mention of Xgeva. Right phrenic nerve paralysis
Path from RP showed extensive perineural involvement. No other risk factors for phrenic nerve paralysis. Haven't talked to MO yet, but sure concerned it's tumor invasion. PSA still <0.04.

My MO suspects that I am non-metastatic, castration resistant but will not approve any treatment until metastases develop.
Gleason 9 at diagnosis, BRACA 2 germline and somatic. RP five years ago but cancer escaped the capsule; PSA of around 2.5 after surgery. Had radiation to pelvic area a few months later along with Eligard injection. Renewed Eligard after 3 months and PSA went down to undetectable. T was close to zero

Tilt Table Test
Well, on Thursday I had a Tilt Table test and it was positive. My blood pressure rose to 185/110 before taking a nosedive to 80/54 with me on the verge of passing out. My nurse then stopped the test and reclined the table. I am pretty certain that I did not escape Sjogrens with my year on Pegasys. I

Is it possible to build up a tolerance to liothyronine?
I’ve found myself in the midst of an interesting, if somewhat unpleasant accidental experiment these last few days. Having had some issues in obtaining my usual supply of Thybon Henning, I’ve now gone 9 days without medication. This was very much unintentional, and I am aware is not medically advisable

Eliquis
This may be a little long. On June 9, I went to the ER with shortness of breath, a CT scan showed multiple bilateral pulmonary embolisms. The doctor started me on heparin and did a procedure to break up the clots in the lungs (I forgot the name of the procedure) LOTS of blood work was done and the doctor

Notes for upcoming GP appointment
Apologies as this is a long read 🙃 I've got a GP appointment booked for 9th May, with a doctor I've not seen before and who is relatively new to the practice. I'm wanting to ask for a Rheumatology referral and have written the below out as a crib sheet for me to take in. I'd appreciate any thoughts

Eliquis
Good Afternoon,I didn't want to hijack Calypso' s post but I also have an enquiry re Eliquis. I recently bit the bullet and as advised by my Cardiologist have started taking Eliquis. I am on PIP - Flecainide and Metropolol. As time has gone on, it's taking longer for me to revert to sinus rhythm.

Dear all I need some advice please. had my ablation 18months ago and still in SR all good. However today I was climbing a steep ramp at a station and at the top set off fast heart rate. It was over 102 which I know some might say isn’t dire but I felt AWFUL sitting waiting for my train. Got out and
