In Remission for a year
Hi has anyone had a long remission with normal platelets ( no medication) only to go back to less then 10 again? I am hoping I am over ITP. The first time I had less then 10 for a couple weeks which was brought back to normal with IVIG and promacta. I was on medication for a month then none at all.

ZANUBRUTINIB TREATMENT STARTS IN JANUARY
This is primarily an update on where I am on our broken road, as I've been posting since my diagnosis in March 2018. I'm also curious to receive input from others who started their first treatment on Zanubrutinib. My six month evaluation took place at Dana Farber on September 11, and I finally heard

Has anyone had IVIG as well as intralipids - within the same cycle?
Is this overkill? I have high NK cells and very high cytokines as well as a need for a blood thinner. My clinic's plan involves both IVIG and intralipids (as well as steroids and clexane) a few days before transfer. I've not often seen this being done (intralipids as well as IVIG) so I thought I would

Sacroiliac joint fusion
After many painful years I'm on the NHS list for sacroiliac joint fusion. Of course there is a 12 month waiting list. Has any one had this operation done privately? Struggling to find a private consultant in Yorkshire.

Anyone had spinal fusion on T10-12?
I have severe osteoporosis and kyphosis from breaking T10-T12 and wondered if anyone has had this? They're recommending a spinal fusion to fix this or otherwise to live in a brace forever hoping the kyphosis curve won't progress any more than it already has. I'm wondering which is the better option if

Does spinal fusion help take away severe pain from kyphosis due to broken vertebrae? (T10-T12)
My doctor is saying that I need to get a spinal fusion because I broke T10 through T12 back in 2011 so over 12 years ago and it is caused severe phasis due to my osteoporosis and from never getting it surgically dealt with at the time. I'm working on getting my bones stronger and he saying that if I

DEGENERATIVE DISC DISEASE, FORAMINA STENOSIS, FAILED BACK SURGERY
Helo, can anyone advise me on the way forward. I have a degeneration disc at L5S1 which herniated massively. I was having severe lower back pain and some nerve pain in the right leg. I had a discectomy surgery in 2016. After the surgery, my back pain got worse and i started having bilateral tingling

Is there a risk of IGG atrophy when getting regular IVIG transfusions?
I know that there are some substances you can ingest, that might make your body atrophy when it comes to producing it on its own. For example, I have heard that if you take a lot of melatonin for a long period, it might impair your body’s ability to make its own after a while. I am wondering if that

Immunology when using donor eggs
Hello Hope everyone is doing as well as they can be Sorry to be writing again. I don't really know where else to ask these kind of questions. We have looked into donor egg treatment both in UK and abroad and have had a few consultations. But remain undecided on the clinic and I don't know if that's

Kyphosis treatment?
I have severe osteoporosis and severe kyphosis due to breaking T10-T12 ten yrs ago. I was in a brace for the first 8 yrs but now have not been for the last 2 years. I technically need a spinal fusion to fix my back but my bones are too osteoporotic. My Dr says I need to go back into a back brace to try

went off Xgeva for a year, have to go back on it. Ideas or tips helpful
Hi, the short version is I’ve been dealing w stage 4 MBC since 2019/ 2020 with mets to the bones since 2020, including a thoracic spinal fracture which led to a spinal fusion. I was put on Xgeva for a couple of years and later read on Xgeva’s website that being on it long term is likely to increase

FIRST IVIG
I just had my first IVIG infusion, and thought it would be useful to others to report on my esperience. I'll be six years in Watch and Wait this coming March, and I get seen every six months both locally in South Florida where I live and in Boston. I was diagnosed locally at Lynn Cancer Center in Boca

covid vaccine
My Hematologist suggested I not take the flu or covid vaccine. She is concerned it will trigger another episode of low platelets. I had been in remission for 15 months last year and I thought I had beaten ITP. I got the vaccines last year then about 2 months later my platelets were back down to 1.

IVIG - how soon does it benefit?
My husband - CLL, on Calquence since April 2021 - has begun a schedule of monthly IVIG, mainly because he had 2 life threatening infections late spring/early summer (staph that went rogue, followed by c. Diff thanks to months of antibiotics). His ID doc has said that the IG may likely have Covid antibodies
