Hi all, Please see my first results 6 weeks after introducing T3. I'm on 125mcg of levo and 10mcg of lio. I am very confused because I was certain that my current symptoms were due to being undermedicated! And how can my T4 be top of range again despite me reducing my levo and introducing T3. TSH 0.007

Hi, I was diagnosed with asthma last September after being in hospital for ten days with a bad exacerbation. All out of the blue. PSA going down, but ALP increasing
I'm 3 weeks into a clinical trial for ARV-766, an AR degrader. At 2 weeks, my PSA had dropped from 133 to 66! Bone pain is much less. All my liver numbers are fine, but alkaline phosphatase has gone from 199 when I started to 429 at two weeks and 519 at three weeks. Doc thinks may just be a surge, but

Covid & dosing
Hi, I tested +ve for covid this morning. It's the first time I've had it. I've had 5 vacs. My temperature is high & I'm taking paracetamol for that.My question is, should I alter my T4/NDT dose? I haven't been ill at all since I started on thyroid meds in 2015. I wondered if I should increase, decrease

This sounds encouraging
At least this admits a lack of scientific knowledge on the subject. And it acknowledges the individuality of patients which would discourage a one-fits-all approach. Much work still has to be done. "Lastly, substitution therapy may be complicated by interindividual variations of deiodination. The question

Advice please!
Hi all, I’m new here, but I’ll try to be as brief as possible! I’ve been treated for Hypothyroidism since 2004 ( diagnosed by the late, great Dr Gordon Skinner by my symptoms and not the biochemistry thankfully) All well for past 19 or so years, on T4 125ug and then T3 4 x 20ug added gradually 12

Long story short- long battle to get diagnosis although received in 2019 and Hashimoto’s confirmed. After several attempts to stabilise on mono therapy I was lucky enough after several years of strife and illness to be allocated an endo who listened to me, took cortisol levels (low) addisons test (

T3 Questionnaire
Thyroid UK, along with the other thyroid groups, had a meeting with the British Thyroid Association yesterday to discuss the joint consensus on liothyronine. The meeting went well and we think, in one or two instances, our concerns were accepted. We have some next steps, one of which is to collate

blood results
Been on 50mcg for a few months and have recently been feeling awful again, so I requested repeat bloods. Results came back today: TSH 4.37 (0.3-4.2) T4: 13.8 (9-19) T3: 4.6 (3-5.4) really hope the doctors won’t argue about an increase to 75mcg 😭 I feel so shoddy doing even minimal increases so

Hi, I've had one Intrinsic factor test before which came in under range. I know its a test that can take a few times to show up.pisitive & kick myself for not trying it again before this loading dose. Was concerned at asking for tests for other things & forgot about this...appreciate any thoughts & would

Progress at last
Haven’t posted for a long time. Some of you may know that after reaching my goal of a 10k continuous run I contracted COVID in September 2022. Diagnosed with Long Covid in December 2022, really struggled to even walk 400 yards but saw an improvement last Summer and got to Week 7 all be it very slowly

I'm new here :)
Hi I'm new to the group, I was referred here by a councilor. I'm struggling to conceive, I have endometriosis and have just found out I have low progesterone and very high prolactin so I've got to wait for another blood test to see what can be done from there. Anyone else in the same boat?

Update on me.
So it's been a while since I posted here. Still waiting to see a pulmonologist. That will be happening in June provided there's no cancellations or delays because of industrial action. Had spirometry done both FEV1 and FVC were 91. Not indicative of airway obstruction. Relieving and frustrating at

Had the ablation.
Monday I had the procedure under general anesthesia-safely and successfully. The did give IV cortef at the start of the procedure. Since they needed to intubate my throat is sore for days but my ears-especially the right one are achy. I was debating why aching now; pollen count is moderate, and my jaw

Hi all Just looking for a bit of a steer. I was diagnosed with Graves' Disease in 2021 but as of now not on any medication, i couldn't tolerate Carbimazole as it made me very unwell. My last tests in around June 2022 with my endocrinologist showed my graves disease antibodies were very weak and things
