What should a carer expect after ablation? Recovery time
We saw the consultant again this morning for a second time, and my partner will be having a
catheter
ablation
on 6 June. What I'd love to know from all of you who have had this done is how he will be feeling afterwards and what he will and will not be able to do.

Amiodarone & catheter ablation
Can anyone tell me whether they had to stop taking Amiodarone some time before their ablation & if so was it an abrupt stop or did they keep taking it right up to the event please!

How long before a Microwave Endometrial Ablation (MEA) or Novasure works?
I had my ablation seven weeks ago when I had my lap. I bled for five weeks after, and then my periods started on Tuesday just gone, so about a week without bleeding, plus I had already been on my period ten days before my lap/ablation, so it feels like I've been on loads. This period that the started

Just came across this ......
Hi Whilst researching MEA microwave endometrial ablation I came across this. It's Ashermans Syndrome , had anyone heard of it or been told they may have it. A lot of the symptoms are are similar and I for one had a D & C straight after a miscarriage, Makes you wonder!!! Although sometimes not sure

Ablation Availability in the UK
They also may not be offered expensive procedures, such as
catheter
ablation
or surgical
ablation
(maze/mini maze).
Catheter
ablations are actually far more common than surgery for afib; in fact, afib surgery is very rare.

Endometrial Cancer Awareness
Hi everyone. It's the first time I've written a Blog on here, but i have noticed there are a lot of Blogs and Questions about Cancers of various types. In October 2012 I was diagnosed with 'Endometrial Cancer'. I had never heard of it before, in simple terms it's 'Womb Cancer'. Needless to say

After 3rd lap in 3 years the pain is back::-(
Hi I'm new onto this forum but feel compelled to post as feel let down by surgery. Three years ago I had an endometrial ablation for heavy periods. At the same time a lap was performed as I had stomach pain. A cyst was found on my left ovary and removed and endometriosis was found and diathermied.

What do I need to do to get diagnosed-UPDATED
I am new to this site and I am desperate to find some answers. I am almost 42 years old and am female. I am 'borderline' hypothyroid according to my GP. I have type 2 diabetes, which is not very well controlled despite me taking an injection of 1.2 of Victoza every morning. I eat a healthy diabetic

Awaiting endometrial ablation and excision of endo surgery has anyone else found this to have helped?
Hello, I saw my consultant yesterday and discussed further surgery options, seems I don't have many options as my bowel and uterus are stuck together so can't have the hysterectomy I'd hoped for. I'm now awaiting to have endometrial ablation and removal of adhesions on ureters along with endo removal

Endo and adeno found during hysterectomy (its a long post)
This is going to be long sorry but any infor would be good! Was having all the classic symptoms of endoalong with a very low immune system and was getting very ill. Had various tests including ultrasound. This all started in around June this year, though I have had some of the symptoms for a good few

letter from hospital, but i really cannot understand it as it contradicts itself.....wondered what you thought
i haven't posted for quite a while but have received a copy of the letter that the consultant sent to my GP, and i'm really confused. Going back over my symptoms etc, i have been seeing my GP for 2 years which is when i felt i could not cope any longer with how much my periods were affecting my life

Adenomyosis and total abdominal hysterectomy
Hi I am scheduled to have a total abdominal hysterectomy. Going to try and keep the ovaries unless he sees a problem with them. I have tried all sorts of hormone pills and painkillers.I had an endometrial ablation 4 weeks ago and have had constant bleeding since. I feel this is the only option left
