AV Node Ablation

Hi I had a CRT D fitted 2 weeks ago and recovering ok. So my question is what experiences has anyone had following the AV node ablation which is next for me . How long was the recovery period? Thanks

I had CRT pacemaker fitted 5 years ago, I did not have the ablate part because I stopped having AF, and this lasted 4.75 years, I was also taking Amiodoryn, over the years I had reduced the amount I took, at Xmas I was very stressed, went into Af, taking 600mg a day of Amiodoryn got me back into sinus rhythm

Hi, I had the AV node ablation carried out 4 weeks after my pacemaker was fitted, and I felt perfectly fine! Perhaps I'm one of the lucky ones, but as I recall I came out the same day and went shopping the next! I hope you recover as well as I did.

Wow that’s inspiring thanks Sharon. I was told after the implant I wouldn’t feel until after the ablation, and I’m finding some days it’s worse. Your experience has cheered me up
