Six monthly review - Success(?)
This involved a mini-maze ablation in April 2017, followed by the addition of Amiodarone and Lansoprazole to my basket of daily drugs until July 2017 and then a

in October 2017. I then came off the Bisoprolol and Rivaroxaban in November 2017.

Maybe I deserve all this...?
I’ve suffered a long and painful life, but for awhile I thought that had marginally improved. I’d survived two spinal surgeries, two heart valve replacements, a cardiac ablation, plus three lesser operations on my left knee and one on my right hand. I learned to walk all over again three times, and was

Pace and Ablate
I had my Pacemaker fitted May 07 of this year. Then went on to have the AV Node Ablation June 28th. Just wondering if any one else has gone through this ? Did it improve your day to day living ? Are you able to live a better quality of life ?

Cough and Phelgm After RF Cardiac Ablation with TOE
Hi all, I ended up having an RF abalation with TOE on Monday and so far so good with the heart. I have ended up some shortness of breath with a productive cough clearing Phelgm from my chest and a very sore throat . Is this due to the TOE or should I be talking to my doctor further ?

Surgery complications anyone else ?
Hi, I don’t have endo but As my mum died of endometrial cancer and the family history for the ladies isn’t great, I have always suffered terribly with periods, after having my family I was agreed that a hysterectomy would be the best thing...... Long story short I had an endometrial ablation in January

Hey y’all...I’m 34 and had a cardiac ablation 2 years ago for afib...totally cured...however once every few months I get skipped beats that last a few hours and then resolve spontaneously. They usually present when I’m exhausted...can someone help relieve my anxiety. If I even have the smallest of skipped

How to stay Afib free after a successful cardiac ablation.
Having had an ablation last October I am AFib free for now and want to stay that way for as long as I can. Are my old Afib triggers still to be avoided? Is high intensity exercise OK? Grateful for any comments or anecdotes!

Update on negative cardiologist
Hi, this morning, I sent an email to my cardiologist, through his web page, he replied within minutes! I asked him to refer me to an electrophysiologist to discuss the merits or demerits of an AV node ablation. He has agreed to do so and will contact him today. I live near Taunton, in Somerset. AV node ablation
I have permanent AF, but my EP has said that AV Node ablation would not stop the AF and restore normal sinus rythym. I was unable to get either him nor my cardiologist to give a reason for this. Are they correct or am I being too easily dismissed?

Very negative cardiologist.
Hi! Well, I've seen my cardiologist today with regard to my daily episodes of AF. His initial response, after I'd explained how often and how long I experience it and having to take the maximum medication dosage, was to virtually say that I'm too old to be helped (I'm 79). He reluctantly offered an av

Hybrid Ablation - second time lucky
The second part of the hybrid procedure, the
catheter
ablation
is likely to be in 5-6 weeks time, and I'm told that this should significantly help too.

Pacemaker adjustment after AV Node Ablation.
I had an AV Node Ablation 9 days ago, pacemaker was implanted last October, as usual Drs had tried everything else before this to cure my permanent AF. I feel so much better that I still find it hard to believe, still scared to get too excited. When the ablation was done they set my pacemaker at 80 bpm

AV node ablation and pacemaker
Hello I just joined and would really like to talk about this procedure for AF which I am planning to have - in 2 weeks. Have been on medication for some time (bisoprolol) and have had some stressful events in life which caused me to call 999.... Feeling nervous about being pacemaker dependent.

Ablation follow up/complications
I was due to have a cardiac Ablation last Friday (11th May). During the procedure they carried out the electrophysiology study but then decided they could not do the full Ablation because it was too risky. Has this happened to anyone else? If so have you now had any other forms of treatment for your
