Morning everyone, I am just about to start on Abatacept. So far nothing else has worked so fingers crossed for this one. Will be home injecting along with MTX as was already self injecting Embrel along with MTX so not new to injections, and its a long round trip to my local hospital for an infusion.

I've already had cataracts removed from both eyes several years ago, so I want to understand how this medication might effect that. That appointment is next week.

Found out I've got the start of cataracts in my right eye. I'm only 48 yrs young 😉 So guess migraine visual disturbance all due to ET. P.s still got ringing in ears Best wishes lainy 🤗

Have been seen by ophthalmology and all is well there, apart from the start of cataracts. Will bringing my platelets down reduce the headaches ? My hematocrit is now normal too. Best wishes lainy 🤗

I have RA as well as other auto immune conditions... and cataracts in both eyes and Weiss circles too. I was at my optometrist yesterday and told that there are Drusen in my left eye. I googled it (of course) and read that Drusen can precede Macular Degeneration which rather alarmed me.

He has referred me to the low-vision dept at the hospital, yet at the same time he spoke of removal of cataracts within the next 2 years, so he must still be optimistic. (I wonder if I am still alive by then; if not, well, then I need not worry about cataracts and AMD anyway, lol).

Hello all, I have Wet macular degeneration in my right eye. I was diagnosed some 3/4 years ago and to date have had about 43 lucentis injections. I have recently completed having both cataracts removed (one week apart). I am interested to find out if anyone is having a similar situation. I think my eyes, as they heal are more blurry at the end go a drug cycle.

I am almost 67 year old male, having been reasonably fit for a long time, but this last 5months has presented some health issues, firstly in November I was diagnosed with a brain tumour, thankfully it was benign, but it restricted my fitness, not being able to pleasure cycle for about 6 weeks

On the 3rd of March this year, I had gotten a report my fasting blood sugar level was 219 and my PP was 290. Then, my doctor put me on glucobay 25mg and glycomet 250 mg twice a day. After 10 days, I seen my numbers drop to 186 the PP and on 21st it's 111 and on 23rd it's 103 and today it's 100 all

Good evening. I am in persistent AF and take 1x twice daily Apixaban. I am due cataract surgery on the 14th June. Just wondering if anyone else been in a similar situation and been advised to stop or continue with the Apixaban before surgery. Cheers Roy

,I cannot find the information a patient gave about anti inflammatory food. I think it will kill two birds with one stone such as diabetes . I there any chance someone could find it for me again. Sorry to be a nuisance but my eyes are not too good start well. Are cataract surgery got take eye drops

I'm really reluctant to increase my dose any further because I'm having treatment for pred side effects (acute angle glaucoma and cataracts).

I don't think I was fully processing at the time as I was at clinic to find out if I should get my double lens replacement op done for my cataracts (at the ripe old age of 46..). I'd never heard of the condition before and tried to write everything down the doctor said but she covered a lot.
