I have recently completed having both cataracts removed (one week apart).
I am interested to find out if anyone is having a similar situation. I think my eyes, as they heal are more blurry at the end go a drug cycle. I have never really equated or experienced a lack of focus blaming it directly on fatigue of PD.......

Hello Pelly. I'm 63 and diagnosed with PD a year ago. I have cataract surgery scheduled for June and in the material I've read in prepping for it, the fact is that it is not atypical for some blurry vision to follow surgery, but that in most cases it clears up as the eyes heal. One piece of information I read from the doctor suggested that full recovery can in some cases take about 4-6 months. What does your eye doctor say?
I had cataract surgery on both eyes 2 weeks apart last August. It was laser assisted surgery and I had had lasik surgery about 5 years before that so needed no glasses. The cataract surgery was done the same with one eye fixed for close vision and one for far vision. So far it is great and I have no problems. I do need to use close up glasses for about an hour in the morning when it is still pretty dark which I didn't need to do after the lasik surgery. I can now drive in the rain at night with no problems at all and I think it was a success. I hope PD doesn't affect my eye muscles in the future though.
