Hi Great news, received a letter this week following surgery that no cancer was found in my thyroid which the letter said "was reassuring" which was quite strange wording. I would like some advice please as I have a post surgery appointment with the surgeon on 14 November and I really would like to

Just been diagnosed but not confirmed yet
Hi I'm 53 and had a year of terrible illness ranging from. severe chest pains, chronic prostatitis. temporary monocular blindness, several TIAs and a Carotid Endarterectomy. I have just been diagnosed with APS syndrome. It's not been confirmed with the second blood test yet but the Consultant has stated

Strange Week with the DEXCOM (Semana extraña con el DEXCOM)
So, it's Tuesday evening and for most of the day (and a few days before since Friday last week) the DEXCOM has been going in and out. It keeps showing question marks and an hour glass. It also had stopped working for most of today while I was at my Senior Center. For the 3-hour waiting period before

New Blood Work and New Endo
Hi. I have posted before about my pituitary adenoma that wasn't responding to treatment and asked for a second opinion on that and my thyroid. The new endo tested everything including adrenal but I don't have those results yet as they went through the hospital. The endo thinks I have a different type

Partial or total thyroidectomy?!
Hi there all. I've have been told I have 3 nodules on my thyroid, 2 on the right lobe both approx 1 cm, and one on my left lobe, approx 4 mm. I've had a FNA on the largest one which has given an equivocal result and was therefore inconclusive so my endocrinologist has recommended I have at least a partial

Tracheal deviation, cough, sputum
Hi all, It's been a while since I've been on here. The past few months have been up & down. I was put on Thyroxine 3 months ago due to several symptoms and multinodular thyroid. Bare in mind that I had a partial thyroidectomy 7 years ago. I had a MRI scan of the neck which showed tracheal deviation

AFIB and Breo Inhaler
Hi: I had cardiac ablation 6 weeks ago and have suddenly developed breathing problems. I went to a pulmonary doctor this morning and she has prescribed Breo Ellipta inhaler. Is there anyone here who is using this medication? Should I worry about going back into AFIB on this? Thank you :)

Post baby thyroid check on 75mg levothyroxine
Hi just a quick question before seeing my gp later. I had a partial thyroidectomy 5 years ago. Started Levo whilst pregnant as T4 had dropped below 11. Tsh was high of normal. I've just called for my results from last weeks test, I am 12 weeks post baby. Ft4 19.2 TSH 0.4 and FT3 was 3 something. Am

I am now 5 weeks post cardiac ablation and for the past two weeks have suffered with breathing problems and a dry, non-productive cough. I saw my PCP last week and he put me on Medrol for a 6 day period. I also had a chest x-ray which showed nothing. Today I saw my regular cardiologist (not my EP), and

Total thyroidectomy after partial - any surprises in store?
Hi again! So, I had a partial thyroidectomy last month and the remaining half will be removed at the end of this month (papillary carcinoma). I'm suppose I'm just looking for a bit of quick reassurance from people who had a TT done in 2 stages. I felt pretty ok after my first surgery, all things considered

Here'so hoping...
OK so I've taken the plunge and sourced some t3. For those who have seen previous posts I am convinced I have a conversion problem. Brief history... partial thyroidectomy 10 yrs ago. Put straight on levo. Put on weight gradually then about 4 stone when pregnant and have never managed to lose. T3

Reflux issues after surgery
Hi! Am looking for a bit of advice. I had a partial thyroidectomy 6 days ago and I am having a couple of issues that are worrying me, that I'm hoping others have experienced and can tell me if it's normal or not? I've been trying to get hold of my hospital ward all day (no luck) and the earliest GP appt

More Issues: DEXCOM (Más cuestiones: DEXCOM)
Here's a picture I just took tonight of my DEXCOM receiver. This is how the screen looked for most of the day today. Every time I think about calling the DEXCOM Technical Support help line, the numbers and arrows come back just in time. I'm hoping this will be the case later tonight because I can't
