Hi, Does anyone have any experience with these supplements? Useful or not?

It is L-Carnitine-tartrate. There is another type called Acetyl L-carnitine. If you take it, what kind?

Has anyone tried l-carnitine supplements with having heart failure,if so, good or bad side effects??I've read they can help but just wondered if Google study reports are to be believed

Unfortunately, the aftermath of these events has been devastating: while her fracture healed, she lost her ability to talk and swallow- after effect of the NG tube / Over the years, I've tried everything to help her, from supplements like NAC, Acetyl Carnitine, Alpha Lipoic Acid, and Vitamin B1 therapy

I already take L-carnitine, CoQ10. taurine, magnesium and potassium, a full aspirin and a multivitamin. I have been taking a combination of hawthorn liquid extract and capsules twice daily in between meals for a couple weeks now and my AF episodes have decreased significantly!

I’ve seen posts that recommended to try a combination of B12, L-Carnitine and Benfothiamine. They mentioned: Over the counter B-12 2500 mg per day L-Carnitine = 4 - 6 grams per day, Benfothiamine at 100 - 300 mg per day.

We use the brand, Metagenics and really it’s basic supplements, zinc, omega’s probiotics, vitamin C, b complex and a couple of magnesiums, one with electrolytes and then L-carnitine. it took me about three months, where I literally was going out of my mind.

I’ve been taking creatine and l-carnitine for workouts. My weight is increasing. Should I stop creatine as I think it’s adding muscle which is heavier than fat ?

I take the Betiane in powder mixed with water for economy and will be adding Methionine and Carnitine in a trial with powder in water. I am ahead of this time last year with my swimming distance. I am at ¼ mile and expect to be at ½ mile earlier than last summer.

I was planning to continue most of these for my transfers and bought some additional supplements that are good for transfers (such as Arginine, Carnitine, etc). Unfortunately I also have severe hypothyroidism (TSH > 100).

- Methyl Folate 1000 mcg (not taking currently but took most of the year in 2023) - Acetyl L 1000 mg a day (taken in morning because it causes insomnia otherwise) - improve nerve quality and repair - Magnesium Glycinate I found these supplements were helpful for me

But I really like Pqq carnitine alpha lipoic acid. These are all really, really important ones. I’m not a big fan of antman or in our these nicotinamide products. I look at it and have a different view on that. It again is listening to the wisdom of the body.

Certain alt treatment I am taking has temporary neuropathy as a listed side effect treatable with daily dosage of Benfotiamine, R-Lipoic-Acid- and optional use of Acetyl-L-Carnitine all suppliments and to add to this list I will be adding Lions Mane mushroom , having a neuroregenerative effect. also

It's involved in liver function, cellular reproduction, and helping make carnitine. It also helps the body metabolize an amino acid called homocysteine. I often read about homocysteine yet do not read anything about what to do about it.

I ordered some supplements, including glycine + NAC to assist with glutathione production, and creatine, carnitine, r alpha lipoic acid and taurine.

To get enough of that I combine CoQ10 with D-Ribose, L-Carnitine and Magnesium. Vitamine E and C are important, also vitamin b supplements according to the late Stephen Sinatra.

Acetyl L Carnitine My questions are, do these 2 interact with hypothyroidism/levothyroxine? And if so is there a way around it or a way to take them alongside levothyroxine? Could timing make it work? Thanks in advance, JP619.

hi Does anyone take l- carnitine? I’ve just brought some to help with fitness and more energy. I take 100mg levothyroxine for Hypothyroidism and didn’t know if L-carnitine will interact with the levothyroxine? Any advice is much appreciated.
