What I use for my neuropathy

Certain alt treatment I am taking has temporary neuropathy as a listed side effect treatable with daily dosage of Benfotiamine, R-Lipoic-Acid- and optional use of Acetyl-L-Carnitine all suppliments and to add to this list I will be adding Lions Mane mushroom , having a neuroregenerative effect. also read it helps with brain fog and cognitive issues. For me never hurts to think more clearly. So yes it has been working for me. Once in a while not often I will get a brief( minutes ) flair up. To solve - fast acting foot remedy I use is Miconazole Nitrate antifungal powder. I read that over time it can help heal nerves. all I know is it relieves the tingle and itch fairly quick. So much is written on the power of mushrooms I myself just can't ignore these medicinal treasures anymore. Best

mushrooms have a long history in healing.

This is only two mushrooms i eat. For White button mushrooms you use the water you boil them in for medicinal properties. For the inky cap i have eaten them but have not found any in 5 years so I will grow them and you need to drop them in alcohol just as you harvest to extract the medicinal properties. If you want to eat the inky cap (very tasty) you need to cook right away before they melt (deliquesce)

Of course always cook every mushroom

CC extract can modulate viability and proliferation of cancer cells. Zaidman et al. proved that ethyl acetate extract from CC inhibited proliferation of androgen-sensitive human prostate adenocarcinoma cells LNCaP, through decreasing transcriptional activity of androgen receptors (AR). Coprinus comatus extract decreased activity of luciferase—enzyme which reveals AR transcriptional equal to the level of prostate-specific antigen (PSA), which is a glycoprotein marker used for staging and screening of prostate cancer. The treatment with CC ethyl acetate extract inhibited PSA level by 77% (Zaidman et al., 2008). Dotan, Wasser, and Mahajna indicated that hexane extract showed the strongest antiandrogenic effect compared with ethyl acetate, chloroform, or ethanol extracts from CC (Dotan et al., 2011). The extract decreased PSA mRNA and AR protein level in LNCaP cells, inhibited colony formation in LNCaP cells and AR transcription activity in MDA-kb2 cells. The study presented CC as an antiandrogenic modulator that could improve treatment of prostate diseases.

The water extraction breaks down the chiten which releases the polysacharides which are the medicine. This is true for more mushrooms than the alcohol extracts.

So you boil the mushrooms and drink the water? Can you be specific? I had neuropathy before my diagnosis due to stenosis but it seems to have gotten worse with the ADT and RT.

All good info! Im going to look up that miconazole nitrate.

I got rid of my neuropathy after doing B12,homocysteine, MMA (Methyl Malinic Acid) tests. B12, and homocysteine were normal but MMA was way high thus MMA enzymes were not breaking down my methyl cobalamin (B12) thus neuropathy so i got a compound pharmacy to make a methyl cobalamin in injection form which I injected once per month for two years and my neuropathy completely went away. The B12 stopped my neuropathy pretty much right away but if I skipped a few months it would flare up.

life extension foundation has very good articles on this.

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought I read about not to supp with B12 if you have PC. I only supp B1 in the nat benfotiamine form . Again B12 just not sure so I aid on caution . Yes that foot powder works takes about 5 min or so . Another good overall help is either at night or morning after shower rub in a few good drops of castor oil. Castor oil has so many therapeutic uses. We learn from each others experiences. Sharing is caring . Best Oh let me know if that foot powder works I get the Amazon brand Comfort Zone cheaper just as good.

I use reishi , shiitake , white button and many different mushrooms for immune support I don’t use it lions mane specifically for neuropathy because I don’t have neuropathy. I think the lions mane extract is a nerve growth stimulator but i just eat it when i find it in the woods. Paul Stammetts has done a ton of research on this mushroom so I would read his pages.

Most but not all of the medicinal properties are from water extracts. The white button mushrooms water and chaga , red belted polypore are the only good tasting ones that i can think of a the top of my head. Shiitake is awful tasting water but awesome tasting sautéed.

So yes I always dry my mushrooms under the sun in summer and under iguana lamp in fall spring and winter for huge vit D boost. I then reconstitute by boiling then drink the juice and then stir fry the mushroom and eat if it is the edible kind.

For example chaga.”, rieshi, red belted polypores are not chewable but the juice is drinkable.

Hello. What is also wanted to be known is when boiling the white mushrooms, how much water is used and how many mushrooms are placed in this water. How long do you cook them and is this at a low boil or simmer. Is this liquid drank hot, warm or cold and how often? I thank you for your time.

There is a misconception that only the R isomer of alpha lipoic acid is active. There are studies showing , for example, that the isiolated S isomer demonstrates statistically significant benefit in animal models of oxidative stress/inflammation. It is true that the isolated R isomer, in these experiments, was more bioavailable and more effective. However, additional recent data indicate that the S isomer, when used in combination with the R isomer, actually potentiates the latter: "Pharmaceutical forms with ALA usually contain a racemic mixture of the R- and S-isoforms, in which S-ALA can enhance the R-ALA’s bioavailability by preventing its polymerization [57]." Similarly, ConsumerLab points out that almost all of the major studies showing benefit of ALA used the racemic combination. WHEN you take ALA, in any form, is also very important--best 30 minutes before or two hours after a meal to ensure adequate absorption.

Thanks I have both ordered by the S by mistake, but now reading your reply not a mistake after all. Thanks
