Quick question for clarity's sake
I know it has been said you need to go 6 months without recurrence to be considered platinum sensitive but doesn't the history of my reaction to the chemo (
carbo
/
taxol
) indicate I am sensitive to it anyway? I can't stop thinking about this and stress levels are high.

Just a quick check in .....
Having finished 6 months of weekly taxol (third line) on Tuesday my hubby and I and my parents are on a break to Harrogate and the Yorkshire Dales with our dogs here's a quick pic, we went to Ingleton Waterfalls today which is just stunning and did a 5 mile walk. Scan on Monday then dreaded results..

I was 3C in Jan 2015 and CA was 700, I had debulking surgery in Dec 2015 followed by 6 rounds of
carbo
/
taxol
with 18 rounds of Avastin... long may all this continue. I wanted to share as at the beginning of my diagnosis I was totally devastated as we all know this feeling.

3rd line treatment in less than 2 years!
It appears last 6 cycle of

Weekly Taxol plus Avastin
They have decided to use weekly
taxol
plus twice monthly avastin. On first line I had
carbo
/
taxol
. On the second day after treatment is when the severe fatigue set in and the ickys. Second line was avastin/doxil. I tolerated that incredibly well.

High grade serous Fallopian tube cancer that travelled to inferior vena cava lyphm nods
Went through hysterectomy after 3 rounds of
carbo
-
Taxol
then 3 more rounds. Now my cancer has gone to my lyphmnods in my back near vena cava. Has anyone else had this occur?> They are giving me Paxil-Calyx now and then I meet with surgeon and they may try to remove those tumours in my back.

Pain after chemo (carboplatin/Taxol)
Hello! My wife had her first dose of chemotherapy (carboplatin/Taxol) 2 days ago --- she has high grade serous adenocarcinoma, stage IIIc, and has elected to defer surgery because (a) it seems so radical to remove the uterus, ovaries, Fallopian tubes, (unspecified) bits of the intestine, omentum, spleen

What options after chemo?
Hi all, we got the news today that unfortunately Mam's chemo (she is stage 4) isn't working and the consultant has made the difficult decision not to continue treatment (weekly
taxol
). She previously had
carbo
/
taxol
which stabilised her for 5.5 months.

IV Vitamin C alternative treatment
I was wondering if anyone has gone down the integrative healing route of having IV Vit C treatment as a 'natural chemo' alternative to conventional
carbo

taxol
for OC? I have had 8/15 of these treatments and am actually feeling worse than I did with conventional chemo at the moment.

Carboplatin and gemcitabine
Hello All...... I believe I posted a week or so ago about my recurrence after a 27 month remission from Stage4 OC. My doctors thought I'd be eligible to enter a study, but as it turns out, I am not. I will start on Carboplatin and gemcitabine on Wednesday. My previous treatment was the Carboplatin

Stage 4 question
My question is I am on
carbo
/
taxol
and avastin and in June I'll be done with my final chemo. Now my doctor expressed that she does not want to keep me on chemo. I have heard from some women they put you on avastin or maintenance chemo. Now if I am in remission how common is this maintenance chemo?

Metformin for OC
She had just completed four cycles of neoadjuvant dose-dense therapy (
Taxol
and
Carbo
) with favorable but incomplete response to chemo (worked miracles on the pelvic area, but omentum did not change). Debulking surgery is set for June 7th.

Has anyone been able to lose the weight that they gained during chemo? If so how did you do it?
I've finished 8 sessions of
taxol
/
Carbo
and avastin end of last December. I've started a new line of Femara+Ibrance+avastin in January. Even though I insisted on stopping steroids during this new line of treatment I'm gaining weight like crazy.
