Stage 4B OC, 1st Recurrence. How is CarboPlatin and Gemcitibine as treatment?
I have just been diagnosed with a recurrence after 18 treatments of
Carbo
and
Taxol
and debulking surgery. Diagnosed originally in June 2019 with OC stage 4B. I am told because my recurrence happened in 6 months, I “may be” platin resistant.

Well, that escalated quickly...
Hey everyone. I joined here a few weeks ago having been diagnosed with angina. I have obviously had cardiac problems building up over the years but I've been asymptomatic (as far as I am aware). Following a CT scan and an angiogram (both of which were great, the medics and staff all brilliant) I need

Been through a complete hysterectomy, two cycles of

Hi there lovely ladies I'm sorry that I haven't posted for a while but things have been a bit up and down for me lately. I have had 13 of 18 weekly taxol infusions. Initially my CA 125 dropped significantly from over 400 to 65. I was very excited that this 6th line of treatment was working. My mid treatment

Taxol
Hi Ladies Just a quick catch-up. Unfortunately Caelyx did not work for me. Ended up in hospital with high temps after two out of three infusions. Scan showed slight advance of cancer so it was decided to put me on Taxol. Three weeks on and a week off. Should have started last Monday but sickness crept

My mum was waiting to start caelyx for a 2nd recurrence after only finishing
carbo

at the end of march. She started getting ascites again and when she saw her consultant 3 weeks ago he asked for an urgent drain and ct.

Dry skin
Hi ladies, I have been on Taxol since December and my skin is so dry. I’ve tried lots of different lotions but nothing seem to be helping. I feel like a lizard. Thanks everyone.

Bad Avastin reaction
I've been on

since May 4 with good results so far, but when my onco. added in Avastin, it walloped me: massive nosebleeds, legs heavy and weak, raised heartbeat, watery eyes, pain in the stomach/abdomen/rectum, tinnitis that went through the roof, crushing fatigue ... you name it, I had it

Update: Xeloda vs Taxol
Just got done with my visit with my oncologist...Here’s the plan: she will get a liver biopsy scheduled for me and will send those results along with my scans to Barnes in St Louis for a consultation. Maybe a clinical trial is available? We will see depending on what mutations they find. There may be

Here we go again
In June 2019, I was diagnosed with stage 4 OC. And, on Tuesday, 8/25, I will start my third line of treatment. Will be taking weekly taxol and Avastin. I’m told it’s pretty tolerable, which I’m all about. Any advise for what I can expect to feel with respect to side effects? Unfortunately, I didn

Online support for mum
Hello all! I've been recommended this forum through a friend who works in oncology. I'm looking for ways to support my mum who has stage 4 ovarian cancer. In November last year mum was diagnosed with possible stage 3, suspected ovarian endometrium origin. Following 4 rounds of taxol and carboplatin

Hat Trick
Hi lovely ladies. I am 11 weeks in to my weekly Taxol treatment and my hair is now getting very thin. My friend turned up yesterday with this amazing hat. I thought it might give you all a little smile. It's certainly quite a statement and I love it!! 😉😂🤠

TAXOL
Hi Ladies. Well the saga continues! Telephone call with consultant today. She had to ask if I'd had a scan before she found it on the system. After a quick look at report concusions it was evident that Caelyx was not working so she would try weekly Taxol. Three weeks on then a week off. Has anyone else

After Surgery Report - OC recurrence
If you have had

, how did you deal with the extreme constipation from chemo? I am asking because this time, they repaired my umbillical hernia as well as reattached small intestine. Thanks all and hugs from me.

Wisconsin ginseng and Ashwagandha for fatigue?
Hi There Everyone, Ugh lately the fatigue has been rough. I am an active person (I scull 4-days a week, 20 mins of yoga and I work full time although not a very stressful job) The fatigue has intensified the last month or so. To the point I am mentally spent at 3pm and can do nothing at 6pm. My labs

Laura Update - No More Chemo - On to Letrozole
Well, ladies, I have had some disappointing news these last few weeks. I went for my regular pre-Chemo blood tests, but my Oncologist called me the next day to say my Liver function looked bad. I wouldn’t be having Chemo and instead would get an Ultrasound of my liver. Also, my cancer marker had shot

Taxol
Just finished 4 bi-weekly rounds or A&C and start weekly Taxol next week. I bought freezer booties for feet and freezer hand wraps for hands to hopefully help with any neuropathy. Any advice on how to deal with Taxol? I did relatively well on the AC. Usual symptoms none that could not be controlled

Adriamycin anyone?
So after Ibrance, Taxol, Fulvestrant, Avastin (still taking Fulvestrant and Denosumab), Xeloda. It looks like my next port of call is either more Taxol (which I found fine for the first 17 weeks) or Adriamycin. Anyone tried this?I found Xeloda was so bad for my tummy plus tiredness but found Taxol fine
