Progress!
Hi everyone Haven't written anything for a few weeks but have been reading all your blogs which have kept me going. Loving the warmer weather which is perfect for me as it's warm but not too hot. My skin is not very sun compatible as I'm very fair anyway which combined with the effects of Methotrexate

Oh! flippin 'eck
I was diagnosed with RA 2yrs ago, (still not in remission) following surgery for spinal decompression which had left me walking with a frame + seat. For the last two years my back was great 100% operation success. Just before christmas I started getting back pain and am using my frame again. Yesterday

anti-tnf and remission
My rheumy nurse says that with successful anti-tnf I should expect to be pain free and lose the mornimg stiffness. I am on Cimzia fortnighly injections. Will inject this week, week 8 of being on this drug. So far no changes in symptoms and very slight changes in bloods. What do you think bloggers

Hello all can anyone help? I get an ache in my shoulder, nothing I can't cope with, it doen't hurt to move it neither does the elbow which doesn't ache, but...... the bit of arm between shoulder and elbow is excruciatingly painful If I try to move the arm away from the body or in any direction. It can

1 Year on and still smiling!
Tomorrow marks the 1st anniversary of my RA diagnosis, and to be honest I am still struggling. Being 23 and living alone with a diagnosis of RA has not been easy. One year ago I could not walk, get washed and dressed, drive or even pick up a cup without dropping it. A year on my hands are still

What are the connections between RA and pleurisy?
I keep getting recurrent pleurisy, they now say it's because my RA has damaged my lungs. What sort of damage could this be? I'm zero negative and on Cimzia injections also currently on high dose steroids and waiting for various scans. Help, I don't want to be hospitalized every 4 months with this.

Has anyone else had storage issues with injections in fridge
Have to store three months injections of cimzia in fridge. The packets are very large and have to be stored in the the centre ie not touching sides or back.Wondered if I could take them out of the packets and into sealed container of some sort. They seem to take up much of the fridge space and not everyone

Anti - TNF - any one on Cimzia?
I am going to start injecting Cimzia on Friday, I have read so many blogs about TNF reactions, I know everyone is different, but I have to admit that I am a bit scared - on the positive side, if it works, I am looking forward to some pain free days! Can anyone who is on Cimzia give me some info, please

I'm new here, did Enbrel quit working for anyone else?
I took Enbrel a few years ago and it was like a miracle drug for me. I didn't know how badly I felt until I felt better. It worked for about three years and then I was in big trouble. I had a reaction with Remicade IV, Cimzia and Simponi didn't help either, so after a year and a half with no relief my

Cimzia - I did it!!!
Well, I have had the worst two weeks possible. Work has been a nightmare, my colleagues will not help me with my duties as first aider, and have basically made me feel like a freak - if it wasn't for the teachers who think I am wonderful for all I do for them, I think I would have just

Cortizone Shots...Good Times!
I am fairly new to this site, I thought this would be a perfect place to ask who out there is maybe in the same place as I am. I have R.A., and have been on disibility for about a year. I have tried Enbrel, Humera, Remicade, Orencia, methotrexate, & Arava. I am now on Cimzia with Arava. I really can't

Hello everyone, I thought i would stop by to just say hi! I have now had two lots of my Cimzia, I didn't cry so much this time, I can't say I have noticed any real improvement, I am still swollen, tender and still in pain - but I do feel a bit better in myself, its as if I am beginning to come

Does a lower dose of MTX mean less hair loss.
I've been on MTX for about four and a half years, most of this time on 15mg.It was increased to 17.5 and then 20mg for about a year.I have been on Cimzia for a few months now and asked to reduce my MTX to 10mg.This was agreed and have just started to reduce.I was told to continue the MTX as the anti

A fun fortnight
Just had to smile when I looked back over the last two weeks. What a catalogue of disasters. It all started with palpitations a week last Monday. My daughter insisted that I had to get it checked out and we + her boyfriend spent three hours in our local A & E.It was about 7pm when we arrived and there
