Lowering neutrophils
Hi peoples 😁 hope today is a good day? I have just spoken to my gp about my latest blood results (done monthly) and my neutrophils have dropped again; they've been gradually reducing each time. She suggested that I spoke to my rheumatologist about stopping one of my meds. I have 20mg mtx weekly via

Cimzia? Help !
Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with Anklosing Spondylitis a few months ago...My specialist prescribed Enbrel, but for some reason my insurance denied it, so he then prescribed Cimzia injections. I am scheduled to get my first injection this Friday and I was wondering what the side effects are, if any

How do I know if Cimzia is working for me?
Morning peeps🙂what a thunderstorm we had last night, in Essex, eh? My question is as I said in my title. I started Cimzia in December 2016 (had a loading dose -2 injections - for first few) and have continued bi-weekly since. My last blood tests (2 weeks ago) showed that my crp has dropped to <1 and

Rheumatoid Arthritis, Hypothyroidism and frequent chest infections
I am now 43 and was diagnosed with Underactive Thyroid at 30 and RA at 34. I have been on Methotrexate since RA diagnosis and tried various other DMARDS but none were helpful. 2 years ago, I was approved to try an anti TNF called Cimzia. It was very successful at putting my RA into remission. However

(Oops) That First week I Slept 16-20 hours of the day! Once I had 2nd dose, things were better. i was able to do things I had dismissed as

Saturday Sensor Inserted: DEXCOM (Sensor del sábado insertado: DEXCOM)
Bueno, es sábado y
cambia
el día del sensor. No puedo creer lo grande que este sensor que acabo de quitar funcionó. Me quedé muy sorprendido ya que estaba un poco preocupado de que uno tendría algunos problemas mientras yo estaba fuera por los últimos días ....

Chicken pox in school again but now using Cimzia- what to do?
Hi peeps- hope you're feeling the weekend? It looks like a sunny day here in the SE of England 😎 I have posted before about chicken pox (or pops as it's usually referred to in my workplace) but that was before Cimzia was added to my arsenal of meds. I was told by my nurse to be very aware of the virus

Paroxysmal Afib at 60
I was diagnosed with Paroxysmal AFIB 6 months ago. I didn't realize I had it until I was diagnosed during a routine visit to my PVP. I was sent to ER where I was also told my creatinine level was at 2.1 with 1.27 being normal. My kidney function has slowly come back in the last 6 months but it has

Rheumatoid Arthritis together with Sarcoidosis
Have landed back in hospital after having another infection which they can't see where it's coming from. It all started by going on Cimzia which induced coughing and I ended up in hospital with a chest infection. Meanwhile they found out after test that I have sarcoidosis. They took me off the methotrexate

Cimbia or Orencia? Need help deciding
Got some disappointing news today - a third round of liver tests shows that my body is rejecting MTX. My doctor is recommending Cimzia or Orencia as the next course of treatment, as I also have psoriatic arthritis. I am SUPER nervous about this. Last year i did three TNF inhibitors and the last one,

Cimzia and weight gain
In need of some advice or information. I have been on cimzia injections for 5 months now and have been doing very well with them, but I have experienced a significant amount of weight gain. Also, my joint pain and GI cramps are back significantly. I am convinced the weight is from injections but doctors

Biologic funding; little did I know!
Morning peeps-hope the night brought you some rest... I decided to skip dinner (which I made) and after a bath, take to my bed; I'd had enough of yesterday 😒 The day started on negative: I'd rung EDF, being a customer, as I'd been advised that smart meters were being installed in my area and that as

Cimzia Pen Injection
Hope you are all feeling ok. I need some advice. I was on the normal Cimzia injections but have changed to the pen injection and wish I hadn't. Just tried my first pen injection with my husband checking I was doing it right but failed miserably. Has anyone else had problems with pen injections? I

Back to the drawing board 😩
It's back to the drawing board for me again. Came off Orencia as it didn't work and made me feel ill. Rheumy put me back on Cimzia but I came out in hives all over my body after the 1st loading dose. He thinks I probably reacted to it when I took it the first time. I did have rosacea and hot flushes
