It started off as pain and restricted movement in my wrist and

COLD WEATHER - BLAH!!!
Hi Really cross at the moment. Had plans to go out today, but cancelled them as i thought if I stayed in, I would experience less soreness/aches due to the cold weather. Apart from walking the dog, I've been inside. In order to walk the dog I had to use my stick, I've had a dull ache all day in

CIMZIA
Hello All, Does any of you on CIMZIA. I've started it last July and first of all the injections are painful, they leave marcs in my belly and they are not working as they should. My rheumatoid arthritis is deteriorating, but I take so much medications already that I cannot think anything else, apart

Time to get on :) (Post Cimzia injection fear)
HI all Well, when the nurse arrived last week to help me with the dastardly deed I was 'well nervous' and ready to chat around the houses to postpone the moment! But when it came down to it I found it fascinating to watch myself holding this syringe with half of my mind asking me what the hell I

Hi everyone- I don't get a chance to post on here very often but I've been reading the blogs and questions and the information on this site is priceless. Plus, I'm in the US and find the differences between the health care system here and NHS very interesting and informative. Anyway, I've

Cimzia arrived today!
Was very excited - but when I opened the first box I started to feel sick with nerves! I have had to come off of Enbrel as it has stopped working for me (was wonderful for 2.5 years), Enbrel is easy as the injector pen does it all for you. Seeing actual injections is freaking me out, still waiting

Hi everyone, I've not blogged for ages but I have been reading how everyone is doing and I'm glad to say that I have had very positive results after 2 cycles of Rituximab. Those that know me from old know that I had tried most things including CIMZIA anti-tnf with no improvement and after 3 years was

Can anyone offer info about the anti tnf Cimzia please?
Hello all, Thanks for all your helpful responses the last time I posted a question, it's really good to know there are so many people out there taking an interest. Hopefully, I will be treated with the anti tnf drug Cimzia in the next few weeks as I failed miserably with the D-mards. I have

Sciqueen sends her regards.....
I have had a message from sci today, she has good news. She is doing that well on cimzia that they have reduced her mtx to 15mg. She is busy getting ready to go back to work next week and asked to pass on her news. She still pops in and reads the blogs, but she is so busy at the moment all she can do

Is this 'normal' for RA??!!
Hi There I have had RA for nearly two years now. I have my good days and my bad, although usually they are 'in the middle'... as in, I've had worse, but had better!! Anyway, I always have some swollen/painful joints and I'm used to that now, and I used to feel abit washed out and tired, but recently

On Cimzia, CRP/ESR now near normal, so why are all my joints worse than ever? Anyone else had this?
In spite of good blood results for the first time in 15 months, RA is more active than ever, I feel really poorly, pain, swelling, stiffness, muscle weakness, mobility are all increasingly bad. Wondered if anyone else had had a similar experience? And is it likely to improve anytime soon?

Feeling Miserable!!!
Hi I've been real busy and active. Almost like how I use to be. My biggest worry was what dress shall I wear today. It's almost like having 2 lives - when cimzia works it really work and I can almost forget that I've got ra, but it runs out, this time I got 11 days and I am now fed up of morning

Restart of RA medication after an operation
I've had a TURP last week. If you don't know what that is then please ignore this question. 4 days after the op I re-started Sulfasalazine. Today I am about to re-start MTX. CIMZIA will have to wait another 3 weeks at least, I was told. Has anybody been in a similar situation? Are there things I should
