N.I.C.E to stop the use of Lyiothronine (T3 ) prescribing
I have just heard from my local Pharmacist that she is finding it very difficult to source my T3 as the National Institute for Clinical Excellence is shortly to implement a ban on the use of T3 as they state that.... Tests to take prior to endo appointment
Hello I have a first appointment with an endocrinologist in 12 days. I've written asking what tests he would like me to take beforehand so as to save time and money at our first meeting. No reply, unfortunately. Clearly, I should be getting MSH, FT3, FT4 and TPO would be required. Any others?

T3 dosage
I’ve been taking T3 now for about 3 weeks I started off on 3mcg twice a day for a week didn’t feel much so I increased to 6mcg twice a day. I still feel like it’s barely touching the sides. My resting heart rate is still in the late 40s early 50s. I’ve also been doing the carnivore diet so I’m probably

hypo/hashis pregnancy bloods and vitimins
hi there, Has anyone had experience of requesting monthly bloods from the GP when hypo and hashi and b pregnant? I am asking for monthly bloods for: iron studies, folate, vit D, B12, TPo and TGa antibodies. They are being very difficult around giving me all of these so my private endo got involved

Eep tomorrow is gonna be crazy😐
Hi my fellow Fibro warriors🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗I'm at the hospital for a barium meal swallow at 8.30 am. Tomorrow. It's a 3 hr drive there and back. No meds no food and little water🤔😵. Then my foot lady will trim my toe nails and moisturise my feet. I hope my feet aren't on fire. Then I'm speaking to a Dr I've

can low Thyroid cause crashes
Hi all, hope others can shed some light please. As per my previous posts, I have started T4 50mg 23rd Feb, my next apt is 8th May. I have noticed some positive changes, feet little warmer, reg bowel movements and little less hyper feelings. However I still sweat awfully every morning, a daily headache

Advice on which Blue Horizon test to take
I have recently posted for advice on whether I need to go back on thyroxine after a year's break. The consensus seemed to be 'yes'. I am thinking of ordering a Blue Horizon Premium Gold test kit but it lists this package as 14 tests. I only just wanted the one test at the moment to see where things

Thyroid
Hi. Hope you all well. Does anyone have experience coming off levothyroxin 50mg? I had my left thyroid removed 10 years ago. My right thyroid producing too much thyroxine and making me very ill. Many thanks.

Change to diet
Plodding along for years with T2, first metformin but now insulin twice per day. Reasonably good diet, try to avoid added or high sugar, although carbs can be my downfall, mostly active, low alcohol consumption. Blood glucose readings fairly consistent, though slightly above target and keep nudging

Hello everyone. I'm waiting for NHS appt with endo which is 20th May. I don't know how much longer I can stay in work feeling like i do atm. I'm exhausted all the time. I cant afford private treatment for B12. I already pay private consultants for menopause care so I just can't add on anymore.

T3 in UK
I've just relocated to UK from Asia and will be trying to get T3 in the NHS as I've been on this for 13 years and am non functional without it. However, it seems that Thybon Henning does not work for me and I also need to supplement this with T3 from Sigma Pharm. Has anyone else experienced issues with

milk thistle - t3 - conflicting reports
hi there my liver enzymes 151 alt max is 35 so very very high - last November were 48. AST 58 (max is 35) I read that milk thistle can help liver - and help conversion but also lowers t3 ? I’m Taking NAC 1800mg and inflammation is negligible. ESR 6 and CRP 0.6 ! 👌 ferritin 121 B12 902 and
