Octasa / Mesalazine - Should I be seeing more of a change?
Hello. I have struggled with symptoms for 2 years - loose, frequent bowels, always with urgency, fatigue, etc. Had colonoscopy and relevant tests and doctor says that I likely have crohns and is treating me as such. I had steroids for 3 months which generally helped (though my calprotectin was higher

Concerned, nervous…
I did a stool
test
in July and it showed I was Borderline for
Calprotectin
. Got ultrasounds done (which is how I found out I had mild Fatty Liver) other then that nothing else showed. the first time I experience the bloody mucus diarrhea I went to the ER and the CT scan came back normal.

Colonoscopy prep and low weight - anyone?
Hello folks, So I’m going to be having a colonoscopy at some point soon (still on waiting list) because of an enlarged liver, high calprotectin and IBD symptoms. I am extremely underweight at 43kg (I’m 5’4”) and extremely nervous about doing the prep for the procedure. My consultant muttered something

Any idea what is going on?
After the results of my capsule endoscopy my consultant wanted to do another repeat stool sample
test
. I received a letter stating that the
calprotectin
levels in my stool sample were negative for inflammation.

How long for prednisolone to take effect?
Hi everyone, I've had colitis for around 8 years at this point. I've had quite a few flares - one particularly severe one that required hospitalisation. But I guess each flare is a new beast. I'm currently nearing 3 months into this flare. It got worse and worse and last check my calprotectin

help!!! Kind of in limbo with a diagnosis!
Also just to note I have stomach issues that aren’t currently diagnosed I’ve just been told it’s IBS but I’ve had a positive fecal occult blood and weak positive
calprotectin
test
. My stool is always loose with undigested food and it’s very greasy and smelly. Sometimes leaves grease in the toilet.
