Bowel inflammation - any link to PMR/GCA?
He said that the
calprotectin
test
measures inflammation in the gut, but that the source of that inflammation could be elsewhere in the body. I'm wondering if there is any link to PMR/GCA, and the cause might be related to that rather than the AA?

Hi, I’m a 19 year old female who has suffered from IBS my whole life, literally since I was a baby. I have EDS, PoTS, Endometriosis, GERD and Gastritis. I had H.pylori from the end of 2017 to April 2019, undiagnosed and untreated for over a year because my gp said that I was ‘attention seeking because

Octasa / Mesalazine - Should I be seeing more of a change?
Hello. I have struggled with symptoms for 2 years - loose, frequent bowels, always with urgency, fatigue, etc. Had colonoscopy and relevant tests and doctor says that I likely have crohns and is treating me as such. I had steroids for 3 months which generally helped (though my calprotectin was higher

Colonoscopy prep and low weight - anyone?
Hello folks, So I’m going to be having a colonoscopy at some point soon (still on waiting list) because of an enlarged liver, high calprotectin and IBD symptoms. I am extremely underweight at 43kg (I’m 5’4”) and extremely nervous about doing the prep for the procedure. My consultant muttered something
