C Diff can be the cause of really horrible symptoms.
I can understand if you feel a bit scared of what might be happening, so agree with your GP about getting referred and getting things well checked out. Severe inflammation (hence high Calprotectin) can cause bleeding. And that plus the C Diff. could have been the reason you had that awful time in a hospital corridor.
If it is Crohns, that can be pretty nasty too. So can colitis!
I am sorry you are going through all this pain and worry. I hope things get solved, and mostly I hope you are prescribed something that can help you feel better.
Are you on a bland diet right now ? Because that could definitely help. You know...mashed potato, white toast, white rice, chicken, steamed white fish, eggs, and any possible veg that doesn't upset you. I find a bit of steamed spinach and well cooked green beans easy on the gut when really bad. But anything that doesn't irritate your gut lining and is easy to digest.
Those markers need explaining. My Fit/ cal marker was 2/18 respectively yet the colonoscopy and endoscopy found several diseases that need ongoing treatment.
