Zytiga Effects On Bloodwork
His
calcium
level has decreased to normal range. What concerns me is that husband’s ALP has been slowly but steadily increasing since early August 2020 (80 to 111). I know that his latest reading is only slightly above normal, but the trajectory is concerning.

CT with calcium/angiogram
I had angina in 2017 followed by a CT with
calcium
score (my choice as less invasive than angio). The result was bad over 600 and showed RCA "obscured " by
calcium
. Then had angio and stent put in LAD which was badly blocked. Been ok since but problems recently with high BP and palpitations.

They also want me to take Alfacalcidol 250 ng daily and check

I finally got a GP to listen
An excel file with my comparative test results [noting the reference ranges] from the last 10 years, so that I can see how they fluctuate in line with how I feel - TSH, fT4, fT3, Thyroid Stimulating Immunoglobins, Thyroid peroxidase antibody, Vit D, B12,
calcium
, serum iron, serum ferritin, CRP. 3.

Alternative to Calceos
Does anyone take an alternative that doesnt have to be chewed? Calceos makes my mouth and gums sore - at may last hygienist session I was advised my gum health had deteriorated. I want an alternative that can be swallowed.

Is the RDA of Calcium based on what needs to be absorbed or the calcium food content to be consumed?
I am assuming from the disparity between broccoli and cheese
calcium
absorption that the 1,000 mg RDA is for absorption not
calcium
content in the food. So for me to get 305 mg of
calcium
absorbed I'd need to eat 500 mg of Broccoli
calcium
or 1,000 mg of cheese
calcium
.

Test results and more questions than answers!
Should I be considering a
calcium
supplement? My T4 is just below range but I would be reluctant to increase it to 100mcg pd because of what happened previously. Should I consider taking an extra 25mcg every other day? What happens to T4 blood results when people are on mono T3 therapy?

If I'm taking Fosamax should I still be taking my K2 and Calcium?
I've been on Fosamax for the past two months and I've continued to take my K2 and
calcium
. Is this okay or should I stop the supplement? My last bone scan showed a low score for osteopenia. Thanks

New drug form may help treat osteoporosis, calcium-related disorders.
In humans, calcitonin is the hormone responsible for normal
calcium
homeostasis. When prescribed to osteoporosis patients, calcitonin inhibits bone resorption, resulting in increased bone mass.
