Flares trying to get from 9 mg to 8 mg
I may have flared due to the timing of a new
calcium
supplement started taking for osteoporosis a month before that taper. I changed the timing of that so that it shouldn't interfere with the absorption of my prednisone.

Advice following GP visit please
Is the risk of this over that period of time higher than the risk of failure to absorb
calcium
due to out of range Vitamin D?

Some experiences on cardiac symptoms
I immediately thought that this can’t be a heart attack as I had a
Calcium
Score of 0 a few months before. I also had some neck pain that week so I just attributed the pain to a neck spasm. Fast-forward three months. Last night I woke up with chest pain. I was very groggy and sleepy.

History of Hypothyroidism on Maternal Side (Gma, mom, aunt, sister). HELP! Should I get tested?
I’ve torn two rotator cuffs, awoken to swollen hands or feet that cannot move (imaging shows
calcium
deposits). Hand and feet started off extreme pain, cannot use, swelling and once swelling subsided, a bruise. My eczema has been the same, painful red, itchy and bruised once it’s in the last stage.

Yet another mess...
She then asked me if I was still taking the
calcium
pills. I told her I dont take
calcium
pills and never have. "Yes yes, yes yes". Anyway, she said she would arrange the blood test and include a Vit D test. (I knew this would not happen), but I had to phone back to arrange a date and time.

Cardioversion number 1, back to normal SR.
I'm on a
calcium
channel blocker Lercanidipine which does have side effects but not as bad as Amlodipine which I was taking until late February. Has anyone found that these drugs do actually lower their BP? The side effects of Amlodipine made me wonder why any doctor would prescribe such a drug.

PMR/GCA monitoring and bone supplements
Either
calcium
and vit D or bisphosponates? Any advice on which I should take and also how do I know how effective they would be as doctor seems reluctant to monitor my condition by future blood tests or dexa scan ( he says I won’t need another for four years).

Low statin dose increased lipoprotein a significantly
I have elevated lipoprotein a [lp(a)] and elevated cholesterol levels, am 70 years old and have a coronary artery
calcium
[CAC] score of 0 (or did before I started statins a short while ago). I just learned about the lp(a) level around 18 months ago.

absorbing calcium
I have just started taking 1 adcal-d3 a day, but it's hard to know if you are absorbing
calcium
because you read of so many foods that block and leech
calcium
from your bones, you don't know what to eat at mealtimes.
