How big are AA tablets
I am considering trying weekly alendronic acid tablets but am worried they will be too big for me to swallow since I have dysphagia (difficulty swallowing). Please, what shape and how long/wide are the tablets people take? Note that there are good reasons why I should not have infusions. Meds involving

Healing slowed due to lack of sun energy.
I am still healing but it is slower and I need more sleep to heal. It became definitive when there was stronger February sun and there happened to be fewer clouds. I got "good sun" and needed a lot of sleep. The sun is doing its part it is the peskey clouds fault. 🙂 I do take 1000 IU of D3, 3 IU of

New to PMR
Hi everyone -- I am new here and have had PMR for about five months now. I can't help wondering if the last Covid vaccine I received may have possibly triggered it, since my symptoms started less than a month after that. (I had already had five previous Covid vaccines.) I was also going through a period

Coronary artery calcification, osteoporosis and B12 deficiency- what to do next ?
I have just been found to have coronary artery calcification incidentally when having a Lung Healthcare scan. This information was passed to my GP who wants to put me on statins (Atorvastatin 20mg daily). I have no idea of the severity or extent of the calcification, only that it was found. I don't

Gabapentin and Oxycodone
Hi I'm back, looking for more advice from the wise ones on HealthUnlocked. I recently came off Pramipexole and persuaded my (UK NHS) neurologist to prescribed Oxycodone/Nalazone. I take 10mgs in the morning and 20 about 7.00pm (any later and it doesn't work). This led to an improvement, but my sleep

SPECT scan horror
I had a SPECT scan after first does of Pluvicto. I had no idea how horrible a scan could be. There are things that project out to get as close to you as possible. I have had many CT scans MRIs PET scans but this is different. I do have a bit of claustrophobia but never felt this horrible before. They

Hi, apologies for long post. I’m a 34yo female. I’ve had symptoms that line up with hypothyroid symptoms for years. Had a few tests when my eczema flared up really badly around 12 years ago, which coincides with the time that a lot of the symptoms began. Have had fatigue basically since catching Epstein-Barr

Has 3 years on Prednisolone caused all these problems?
Hi All,I haven't posted for a while but regularly read the daily highlights and continue to learn about our condition and take comfort that there are others who understand the difficulties we face living with PMR. The last few weeks, have been challenging for a few reasons. I'm currently 3 weeks into

NHS Endo - South East - Pro T3 - Three referral choices...
Hi, I went T3 only 3 weeks ago after trying combination therapy for 6 months. At around the same I had my local surgery test for blood FBC, blood sugar, cholesterol, calcium folate, B12 Iron etc. This was just to check for my self that I wasn't encountering any other issues. To my surprise they also

near daily AFib
My first AFib event happened while in hospital for kidney stone a few months ago. Kept having them and neither calcium channel blockers nor beta blockers helped; in fact, I felt worse on them. Cardiologist agreed that ablation is right and it’s scheduled for August 9. However, I am having daily AFib

Severe RLS Where do I go now?
Hi! I've been lurking reading your posts for a couple of years. I live in Sweden and am a 58 yo female and have severe burning RLS without PLMD. Here's a condensed version of my story: July 2011 Laminectomy C4-C5. no real slide effects except nerve pain in right index finger which I've learned to block

Hi. Peeps... Confused about recent blood tests.... My last thyroid test approx 5 months ago i forgot to take my t3 within 12 hrs of test, ( last dose was 4 pm day before am test) so theoretical it may have been lower than it should have been.. Since then i increased my T 3 slightly from 17.5 mcg
