‘Supplementing’ supplements with whole-foods.
Before Parkinson’s symptoms came into my husband’s life, we generally tried to get all our nutrients from the food we ate (and had to supplement B12, D, and omega 3 because of a plant-based diet). Since following sites like this, we have added more B vitamins (B complex, B1, more B12), and magnesium

Two weeks of relief
I have had two weeks of *total* remission. So of course, I am trying to figure out why. I think it is possible that it has to do with adding soy to my diet. I am not sure that this is the answer, and it’s only been two weeks, but I am sharing this in case it resonates with anyone else or helps provide

Esomprazole, stomach issues and calcium deficiency
When I was diagnosed with PMR in March 2021, I was prescribed Omeprazole and Alendronic Acid. The Omeprazole made sense as I have a history of stomach upsets. I resisted the AA until a DEXA scan identified osteoporosis and osteopenia. I switched to Risedronate because I could not tolerate the AA. I

Calcium and Vitamin D
I have vitamin D deficiency. The calcium + Vit D tablets prescribed by GP either upset my stomach (dissolvable) or non dissolvable ( chewable ! ) aggravate my gums. Can anyone please recommend alternatives that aren't hugely difficult to swallow ? Also what mg is recommended. I'm aware that perhaps

Methadone + Pregabalin + Trazodone - So far so good
Hi everyone, just wanted to share a good story. Sorry for the telegraphic style, I'm just saving everyone's time. I'm 33, living in Canada. I guess I've had RLS my whole life, but it started affecting my sleep about 10 years ago. I'm very active (cycling everyday, rock climbing & calisthenics). No other

Can I Reduce The Symptoms of ADHD Taking These Supplements?
Hi everyone, I am diagnosed with ADHD last week. My psychiatrist prescribed me Strattera (Atomoxetine). I have heart arryhtmia and learned that it is not recommended to use Straterra if you have heart arryhtmia. Also I learned that sudden deaths and stroke have been reported in adults taking atomoxetine

Post exertion fatigue
I'm like a zombie today - over the past 2 days, I did quite a bit of heavy gardening as the weather was so good. I had muscle aches and felt a bit wiped out at the end of the day yesterday so took a long Epsom salts bath, and today, wham! it's like a truck has hit me, but with extra brain fog added.

Not reacting well to T3
Hello All, I wonder if there are people here who have not reacted well to T3? This is the second time I'm trying to take it. First time, it was about 5 years ago when I needed to raise my T3, it was at 20% range. I took just 5mcg of compounded T3 as per my Doc advice and started to feel anxious,

Advice for my 76yr old Hypothyroid mum
Advice for my mum please if that's OK. My mum is hypo - she takes 75mcg of levothyroxine. For years she has struggled with sleep, being cold and brain fog. She has just accepted this as being old age and when she has asked her gp - they just say her results are in range and that's the end of that. I

Getting fat after pred,
I am taking B12, Vit D,
Calcium
with
magnesium
and iron, and a good multi vit. I feel 'out of control' now; afraid most of the time and this perpetuates the circle of feeling worthless (having put on weight) and being afraid of the GCA returning if I work at my normal level.

Vitamin A,D,E,K deficiency..
After gall bladder surgery my Doctors in India recommended no vitamin supplements . Read somewhere about possible fat soluble Vitamin deficiency after gall bladder removal. Is it safe to take Vitamin D with Vit K2 as MK7 as a supplement ?. Is it true that Vitamin D , if taken alone would cause Calcium
