Osteoporosis
I had PMR from 2016-2019. Took Alendronic Acic for about 6 weeks but stopped because it was affecting my throat. Had bone density scan around 2017 which showed some osteoporosis and some osteopenia (record has been lost due to GP/house move). I was offered an Infusion of AA which I had in 2017/2018.

i am not very good with this site. as I cant seem to find my way around i couldn't find replies to my last post. so just look at post written in by other members. hoping they may answer my worries. I wrote a post a few months ago when PMR came back as a flare up. This time my G.P. put me on 30m

Pluvicto pain
my father has undergone 3 infusions of Pluvicto. He has psma and fdg completed with no significant discordance. I understand tumour flare tends to occur within the first week after infusion but he tends to have more discomfort towards the end of the cycle. We aren’t sure if it’s bone pain or muscle

calcium through foods
how do you know if you are getting enough calcium through foods, I have just ordered 500mg of calcium citrate, I'm not messing around measuring this and measuring that, and the 20mg of famatodine that I take won't help, the calcium citrate I bought is 3 capsules =500mg, I think I will just take 2 a day

So been on the calcium channel blocker 2 days
My symptoms have got better but is this placebo, I’m on extended release 120mg Diltiazem. Cool I feel ok but now it’s worrying me that the reason it’s making me feel ok is that I actually have a problem with my heart going on and that my arteries are blocked. This is just messed up. Could that be what

Fibro-Fatigued-Fed up!!!
I have suffered with fibro now for the past three years. I feel like I’m one of the lucky ones as I started symptoms at 42. I’m reading a lot younger people and I feel really sorry for you. my sister also suffers with fibro a lot worse than me and she’s had it a lot longer. My mum also. So between

Hello everyone. I'm wondering what is the best (and/or simplest) method of calculating the amount of calcium in my diet in order to know how much to supplement. Thanks

Revisiting the Zoledronic acid pros & cons
Hi folks, I was offered zoledronic acid two years ago and was so freaked out by possible side effects that I declined. At the time I was at a much lower dose of Pred and naively thought I would be off it by now, that my calcium absorption would return to normal and I'd be able to rebuild my bones naturally

Checking medication
Hi, I was chatting to a colleague today about their restless legs which have been unbearable lately. Their doctor put them on Perindopril for high blood pressure, Amiodipine- a calcium channel blocker, and Fenofibrate for high cholesterol. He thought they made his legs so much worse (his doctor doesn't

Potential Diagnosis. Vasospasms
So about 8:30am this morning I had a sudden punch to the chest and pain in my arm, it felt different so I did decide to go to hospital felt short of breathe too. ECG fine Second ECG fine Troponin was only 6. So obviously ruling out a heart attack, however I had two more episodes of the same thing

Well at least that’s one less thing to worry about.
I’m so pleased to learn that my recent dexa scan after seven years of prednisolone is normal and unchanged from three years ago. Not being a pill popper before diagnosis I have struggled to take the calcium and Vit D supplement and Alendronic Acid which were prescribed as routine by my GP. A dexa scan

Artificial oocyte (egg) activation (AOA) - calcium ionophore - any one used this ?
Has anyone used Calcium Ionophore ? I have been offered this for my current round to help with fertilisation rates. I am set to get 5 embryos. Last time one out of the three total I got didn’t fertilise. Seems like a no brainier but worried about any contraindications. Tia <3

Vitamin K2
Trying to find best vitamin K2 supplement. I can’t take calcium but lots of dairy and take D3 on its own daily. I take methotrexate, steroids and other meds so I don’t want the strongest K2 but one I can absorb without a problem. I have been on risedronate for two years but dexa scan had not improved
