Packing the weight on with Armour mixed with Levothyroxine
So, I was on 1 grain of Thai thyroid with 50mcg of levothyroxine, felt well, and could lose weight with exercise and diet. Thai thyroid is currently unavailable so I ordered Armour a couple of months ago. I am piling on the pounds despite eating less. My vitamin D, folate and other vitamins are in the

I'm a 77 year old male with mild inherited anxiety disorder. Exactly one year ago I developed irregular heartbeat: never a full minute went by without 1 to 6 missed beats. I had had short periods of irregular heartbeat before but always linked to obvious anxiety episodes and only lasting a maximum of

How can I get back to regular sleep?
When my rheumy told me on our telephone appointment, that he wouldn't be able to examine my painful knees and legs until six months time (due to NHS rules), I decided to pay for a private appointment. It was then discovered that I have arthritis in both knees and would need to continue with Leflunomide

I hate psychiatrists and I dont know what to do
Okay, this is gonna be a long one so buckle up! I had my first huge panic attack when I was 17. It was in class, triggered by a random dizzy spell. I went to my primary care doctor and told her about it. She immediately prescribed me .25 Xanax to take as needed and Zoloft. I didn't even know anything

CBD oil and other alternative treatmentsfor polymyalgia (PMR)?
My wife (age 58) has been diagnosed w/ PMR. She is down to 15mg of prednisone, but her symptoms are already getting worse. She is on Dapsone (antibiotic), Prednisone, Gabapentin, calcium and vitamin D suppliments, and Advil (which she says does nothing). It is really hard to watch her condition deteriorate

A pint a day
I mentioned yesterday that I just achieved my first 0 Pred day in two years and without a flare. I put it down to my very slow taper plan but I was just wondering if my average Guinness intake of a pint a day might of helped😁🍺 10 REASONS WHY GUINNESS IS GOOD FOR YOU Spinach, kale, avocado, Guinness—A

Driving and epilepsy
I've had epilepsy since age 15. I'm 48 now. I've driven some parts in life and have been stuck on bus the other half. Finally got an older car and license back and so darn happy to drive again!!!! Did anyone know that valium can stop seizures? I just found that out a few years ago. I'm desperately trying

Diet and misleading result?
Hello everyone I posted a question yesterday and said many of my test results were normal then. But now I've started thinking and thinking about what might have actually caused it! Before my last blood test, I had started a diet (low potassium, low calcium, low protein, low everything! I actually

Prolia
I am 64 years old. I have been off calcium for about 5 years due to chronic kidney stones. My dexa scores have declined more and I am now at -3.7 in spine and -3.3 in hips. Doctors are telling me to start injections which I assume are prolia. I am to meet with a specialist soon to discuss next steps

Bisphosphonates
I was diagnosed with PMR at the end of January, it did take 4 GP's to finally decide on the problems, my GP started me on 20mg Prednisone which has helped greatly, no more pain! I am now taking 10mg for a couple of weeks, then advised to alternate take 2 and 1. My question is, do I need to take a bisphosphonate

Please help - recently discovered various issues which may all be linked to thyroid disorder? Still in the dark, no Endo appointment yet
Sorry, this is a long post! I am 35 and am lucky to have had really good health until recently. I lead a very active lifestyle (sea kayaking, running, snorkelling, hill walking) and eat a varied, healthy diet. There are now various issues (some of which I have found myself with private blood tests),

I was very frightened to have a sudden extreme distortion in vision in one eye just before Christmas- my optician immediately referred me to a consultant in January and l have a macular oedema (think that’s correct) probably due to extreme short sight -12dioptre in that eye. I was told the only treatment
