Hi, under a consultant at the centre. Positive bloods and pre-diagnosed APS and ?SLE. Bloods say definately APS and possible SLE, symptoms suggest both. And yet dr said bloods were inconclusive, advised me to come off warfarin and would not take case history or listen to symptoms. Have I been victim

Lupus, or APS "only"?
I have just got back the results from the range of blood tests ordered at St Thomas' but still have a month to wait before I am back to see the doctor. APS already confirmed but I don't feel it covers all my symptoms. I am trying to work out which questions to ask from these results and wonder if anyone

Hi I'm a 30 year old female with a recent central retinal vein occlusion which is apparently very rare. my ophthalmologist is being thorough but I want to take my health in my own hands so to speak. My 1st Anticardiolipin bloods came back at igm 9.9, second came back at igg 10.7. The rest were very low

Here are my latest blood tests and I could really do with some help from the great minds who visit this page, all help and pointers gratefully received. In November I was contacted and told my blood results were pointing towards me developing a full blown autoimminue disorder, there results were; 1.

Help understanding results
Hi, I wonder if I could get some help reading my APA panel results? I know they're abnormal and my fertility consultant has advised I'm treated as he would someone with Hughes syndrome but he said I don't necessarily have it. I've suggested to him that I re-test within the 12 weeks to determine if

Do you think I could have Aps?
Hi everyone, I'll try and keep this as brief as possible. At the age of 17-19(roughly) I suffered severe headaches/migraines along with flashing lights at the sides of my eyes. Since then I'm now 31, I suffer from extreme fatigue, terrible memory- I have been unable to study, learn to drive, read

Now AMA

Who has PBC / AIH overlap or 'probable overlap'? What did your biopsy show? How are you treating both simultaneously?
So, if life with the fear of facing my newly identified disease isn't already confusing, I had my biopsy last week and received inconclusive results Monday. Based on elevated LFT's, AMA, and high IGM (but not elevated ALP), my doctor ordered the biopsy to get a clearer picture of my 'probable PBC'. The

Which blood work and/or criteria was used to diagnose your PBC?
I'm 49, female and my gastroengerologist has quickly made the PBC diagnosis based on positive AMA (84.4 units , pos = >24.9), elevated AST (44, scale of 0-40), ALT (38, scale of 0-32), and high IGM 730 (scale of 40-230). My ALB and BIL are within acceptable range and three separate tests have also shown
