Pull through operation/anoplasty

Hi everyone,

My daughter needed anoplasty and dilations due to her bowel not connecting properly to the anus. I have never been able to find another family whose child has been through the same operation, I was wondering if anyone here has? I have found stoma groups or groups for imperforate anus but nothing the same as my daughters condition.

My daughter eventually (after me continually telling the GP something want right) had her op when she was 14 months, she is now 7 and still having issues with soiling. I would love to connect with someone who has been through the same thing.

Hiya - I can’t help but just wondered if you might find others via some Hirschprung groups? You probably know this but Hirschprung babies are born missing a type of cell in their lower rectum so they cut the section and do the pull through op. I know this because my sister’s baby had it. I am sure someone else posted on this a few months ago so I will have a rummage around and see if I can find it! X
