Has your child had an asthma attack in Sept?
Hi all, Has your child ever had an asthma attack in September? Our research shows this is the peak time for asthma attacks in children and we’re looking for parents to share their stories to raise awareness during the summer holidays. Email your story to mediaoffice@asthma.org.uk or DM me if you can

Asthma advice
Hello , I heard monday I have "asthma" from my doctor. I got salbutamol but it doesn't work so I'm making an appointment to get some new meds. The thing is, it doesn't seem to look like I've got asthma. I got a constant pressure on my chest. I also wheeze. Now it doesn't get worse if I get near smoke

Non-allergic asthma reacting to something on a high pollen day...
How much of a freak am I? High grass pollen, lungs are reacting a lot today. Thing is, I don't have allergic asthma (total IgE and specific IgEs normal, most triggers are not allergic eg scent, weather/humidity, viruses, smoke etc. No eosinophilia either. Twist is I *do* have hayfever and take fexofenadine

Difficult Asthma since April.
Hi All. I have had asthma my whole life and as a teenager had bad attacks which would last a few days, mainly cold induced. Since I worked out I was allergic to house dust mites I have had 1 mild attack in the last 20 years. Thinks are different this year and I am really struggling. 1st week in April

Hi there. Just wondering if anyone can help. Doctor diagnosed asthma last Sept 17. Lung function test in hospital said no asthma! But doc says I show signs of copd! Generally I'm well these days but using inhaler am/pm. Has anyone got any experience like this?? Thanks...

Asthma without wheezing
I've never wheezed but I've had some pretty severe asthma attacks. Unfortunately most of the nurses I've seen at hospital only take you seriously if your o2 sats are really low and you wheeze. So I'm usually left sitting in the emergency room for hours before being seen even though I'm obviously struggling

Difficulty sleeping, wheeze, and avoiding those paramedics!
It was this time last year my
asthma
decided to become
brittle
. I spent over a month with attacks on and off,in and out of hospital and over 6 weeks on steroids. I'm much fitter now and am running but am waking wheezy and breathless again. My tolerance to exercise is also starting to wain.

Air purifier
My 8 year old daughter has asthma and when we were recently away in the lakes she was fine for the full week but as soon as we were back her asthma started. I was thinking of getting an air purifier so any recommendations for the cheaper end would be appreciated. We are also having house renovations

If I'm referred to a London hospital from Southend hospital, as asthma is very bad at the moment, I've read somewhere that London hospital has more funding and there is also a injection that I could have. Have you any information on this please, as asthma is getting worse and I at least have 1attack

I’ve seen the surgeon today and am more scared than ever now.
I am in shock as I have just seen the surgeon who has told me that although he is going to operate on my ovarian cancer. It will be a full hysterectomy and debulking. He said that it’s in both ovaries, and very large and complex which is something my consultant has never said to me. He is willing to

So Confused by sudden worsening of Asthma
Hi, I've had Asthma as long as I can remember. But I've always gone through most of my life feeling like I haven't had it because it's been so mild that I haven't even needed a preventer inhaler... until 3 months ago. I remember being out with my friend and feeling suddenly wheezy. Now, bear in mind
