Severe/chronically poorly controlled asthma: what do people do with 'small' flares?
I know the usual advice for attacks/poor control etc, but what do people on here who have chronic poor control do for flares that are more than their baseline level, but not enough for hospital etc? (NB the following is very particular to me and is not something I am advising for anyone else, especially

Hi All, I'm interested to know if many asthma sufferers also have problems with athlete's foot/toenail fungus type issues? Any comments welcome.

Workplace and asthma
I am going to sign up with an agency to do supply work in schools. I have already mention my asthma when they asked about disabilities in my screening phone call. I said it is moderate asthma but well controlled at the moment. However this I hadn't mentioned can get worse in autumn/winter due to the

Exercise and asthma
Hey so I’m looking for suggestions of any online communities for asthma and exersizing , I’ve seen there’s several groups on the Fitbit but there doesn’t seem to be any for purely asthma and exersize. If anyone knows of anything like this please drop me the links below. Much appreciated in advance 😊

Asthma Flare Up
Hello All Is there anyway to control an Asthma flare up other than oral corticosteroids? Is there a chance it subsides on its own with inhaled corticosteroids or are oral corticosteroids a must?

Mild copd or asthma
I recently had a spirometry test. Results indicated I had mild copd. Now being an asthma sufferer all my life. The asthma nurse went though the results and insisted it wasnt mild copd but difficult to control asthma and I have inflammation on my lungs. Anyone else every had this?

COPD vs Asthma diagnosis
I was just wondering if anyone out there has had a cat scan that looks like you have bronchitis and emphysema yet your doctor insists you do not have COPD and that you have severe asthma?

Eosinophyllic asthma
I have eosinophyllic asthma, I take Flutiform and Ciclesonide (ALvesco) twice a day. Every morning when I wake up, my throat and the roof of my mouth are very clogged up, - wondering if anyone has anything they take at night to help with this. Tried Montelukast but it disturbed my sleep.

Will surgery have long term effects?
I have had it confirmed I have bowel cancer and am waiting for surgery to remove my colon. This will leave me with an ileostomy- stoma and bag - permanently. Will this effect the absorption of thyroxine? Any other effects I should be aware of?

What next?
Hi I was diagnosed with Asthma 4 years ago, now I am told All my breathlessness and tight chestedness is probably down to Vocal Cord Dysfunction ( VDC) , and I may not have Asthma at all as VDC is often mistaken for Asthma, although the the two may be present at the same time. Has anyone else been given

My sister's asthma
My sister has been doing well lately but this week she is having trouble breathing. She has been to Drs. Saw the asthma nurse. Told her chest was clear but she might have a chest infection. Given more steroids and antibiotics. Her peak flow was 300 which is low for her as she usually does better than
