Impact of reducing Relvar dose
Dear fellow asthma buddies I wonder if I could ask your opinion. With the introduction of Montelukast, I was already taking high dose Relvar and Incruse, my asthma has been wonderfully stable. I have taken my reliever inhaler once a week before my dance class only. I've been walking and dancing without

Update on appointment with consultant at severe asthma clinic
Hi, hope you’re all ok. I just thought I’d share my experience and ask for your opinions and advice 🤗 So, I thought the consultation was a bit one sided and it felt a bit rushed 🤔, but maybe that’s me expecting more of a chat.😆 He didn’t cover much about my asthma history just saying ‘has it just

"your lungs are clear"
After reading this forum for a month now (thank you all for the comments and for the great support!), it appears that many asthmatics (myself included) who have a solid diagnosis of asthma, are often told in the AE something along the lines of "your lungs are clear" (after X-rays, listening to the

. My GP put me on daily maintenance 5mg dose of Prednisolone some years ago as I have had to use Prednisolone for chest infections pretty much all my life.

Asthma attack trigger
Hi I have noticed that after every morning hair-drying I have a problem with breathing. Can a hair dryer cause an asthma attack? Thanks in advance for all answers.

Do you think I could get more asthma attacks
Out of the blue acute asthma attack landed me in A&E I've been admitted and been given a treatment plan and should be home today after a 9 day stay. I have had no asthma symptoms for 20 years and never needed hospitalization before. Just wondering if anyone else found themselves in this situation and

HRT could raise odds for asthma
Millions of women who take hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to ease their transition through menopause may be unknowingly upping their risk for asthma. Asthma Returned?
I had asthma as a child and it faded out when I was about 16. I suffered occasional wheezing if walking in a cold wind but did not need any medication. I am now 61 and had a general anaesthetic in April and began with asthma-like symptoms in May, but not sure if this is related. Have had antibiotics

Colorectal endo lap- share experiences please?
Hi everyone, so I finally went private after months and months of waiting on the NHS. I've been told by my new consultant that he thinks another laparoscopy should be performed, and he is likely to have space in his clinic in November. I have stage four endo with my bowel and uterus stuck together, so

Waiting times York gynaecologist?
Does anyone know waiting times for York gynaecologist referrals? I’ve struggled with endometriosis for 20years. In the last 5 years I’ve had lots of pain and problems with ovarian cysts. I also have Crohn’s disease and 13 years ago had part of bowel removed and a temporary stoma. Because of my previous
