Cancer again
Has anyone gotten a secondary cancer while on W & W ? I had breast cancer two years ago and had a lumpectomy with no chemo or radiation. My cancer is now back in same breast. Thinking of a mastectomy this time but still concerned that the CLL might be an underlying cause. Any comments would be very

Happy New Year
Hi everyone and Happy New Year. I hope everyone had time with loved ones this season. One quick off topic question. Does anyone know if Barb's grandchild arrived? I think of her often and know she would have loved being a gram! I miss her. I've been away for awhile dealing with the frustration of unseemingly

Breast pain
Hi, can anyone help please? I was diagnosed with stage 1a ovarian cancer 4 years ago. This was successfully removed with surgery and I didn't need chemo. I have been clear since then. I had granulation in my right breast the year after but was told that everything was OK, and my last two mammograms were

My Latest Stack: Anybody want to deep dive on protocols?
So this is my latest stack. I think I have a good list now. Now it is time to fine tune it. Get the dosages and timing right. Will any of it help? I hope so. I have not been diagnosed with PD. I have been diagnosed with REM Sleep Behavior Disorder (with other troubling symptoms). I still have a sore

Petscan showed progression. Moving from Ibrance to Piqray. Terrified.
I'm ER/PR positive, Her2-Negative with the Pic3 mutation. My last Petscan showed progression in the right breast where my open tumor is. Working on getting that removed in the next month. Also a few bone mets showed up. Now my onc is moving me to Piqray, Fulvestrant (which I'm already on) and adding

Letrozole question
Hi all! Over 3 years into it all and I had to stop letrozole a while back, for maybe 10 mos. or so, because it was crippling my hands; then I had the cancer antigen test a few weeks ago and my markers were up a bit, so I started back on letrozole, but only every 4 days and my question is, has anyone

Ibrance and lung issues
Is there anyone here who is taking Ibrance that has mets to the lung? That is where my breast cancer spread. I am on Xeloda and Aromasin now and the tumor markers are going up.

No hope
After reading so many posts about taxol failing I am really depressed. I have been on so many treatments that have failed and now agreed to chemo as last resort. But now I read how this has failed so many. I realise this disease will never go away but I just wanted a little hope that it may work. But

Oral fulvestrant update
Hello ladies - I've been on Ibrance and letrozole since September 2018. I am treated at Mass General in the Boston area. I am stable for now. During my appointment with my oncologist yesterday, I asked about next steps when the time comes. I told her how I know several people on this site who do not

Any Canadian getting US treatment?
I’m in Canada. I can’t have anymore regular rads, I’ve already had it twice. I would love to get proton rads. My MBC is only in my hilar nodes. Anyone from Canada get treatment in the US? I’ve been looking at some H but Mass Gen in Boston didn’t write back. I’ve been suggested ProCure but it’s not an

Xeloda and shortness of breath
Hi everyone I have been on Xeloda for Five cycles. I also did a booster 1.5 weeks ago. My hemoglobin was also lower 9.8 this month. I started experiencing shortness of breath while walking. The tumor markers were going down on Xeloda. Thus, I can assume that hopefully Xeloda is working. Did anyone

Beginning The Journey
Hi, I was diagnosed in April this year. I had severe back pain and a scan showed multiple spots on my spine. Quite a shock since I had never had cancer before and never missed a mammogram. In fact the breast cancer never showed on the scan. The diagnosis was made with a lymph node biopsy. I’m now

Could you give me some idea of what I will go through please?
Hi everyone. Had my scan results today and tumors are still growing. Oncologist said I have been on many therapies and none have worked . Now my last option is chemo. Paclitaxel sometimes called Taxol. I am very old but as she said I am active so we can try this. I have heard so many frightening reports

Tumour markers
Hiya I had a telephone consultation with my Oncologist yesterday and my tumour markers were really good, from the blood tests. Phew ! He’s carried on with Tamoxifen and blood strengtheners, and I’ll see him (face to face) in the New Year after my usual CT scan. Thanks for listening, and have a great
