I was diagnosed with CLL and 2015. I am 55 years old. Want to know if it’s OK to take a vitamin B complex.

Vitamin question
Have you GP run some test first, particularly B12, folate and VitD3 and anything else he sees fit...
Then work with hiim to bring levels up to range... it might require supplements, sublinguals or injections.. it really depends on your situation...
Taking supplements without a tested goal.. could be a waste of money.

Thank you Chris, I will do that I actually have an appointment next week with my GP. It’s just that I’ve always been a high-energy person. I know CLL Can make you tired. I am also on impruvica coming up on a year now which also takes away your energy.
Thanks again, cindy
In my own case, taking B-complex is problematic for me because some B's increase my insomnia problems - specifically B6 and B2, and also I think the choline & inositol found in most B-complexes. So I take my B's singly based on what I believe would be useful to me (from reading/research), and what appears to be helping me. In my case right now, the B's I am taking are B12, B9 (methyl-folate) and B7 (biotin).

I’ve been taking injections and it works well.
Some B-Complex formulas contain biotin, which I recall reading here, should be discontinued some time (a few days or a week?) before blood tests. The formulas usually have less than any single supplement, so it may or may not matter, but worth checking.
I have been taking a B complex plus a sublingual B-12 at GP’s suggestion without any issues. Added Biotin before starting treatment, all with CLL specialist’s approval. Have had no issues with blood work.
Hi Breezie, I've always taken B complex everyday. My cll specialist said it was fine for me to continue. Good luck. Cindi
