hi there, I posted in December to say my GP had reluctantly agreed an increase in my Levothyroxine from 50mcg to 75mcg following a blood test which showed: TSH 2.91 (0.35-5.5) T4 13.9 (10.5-21.0) He also requested some more blood tests and I asked for vitamin D,B12, Ferritin and Folate as per guidance

Hashi's with a nodule on the last 3rd of gland advice
Good Afternoon, I've had 2 Thyroid operations and I'm left with a third of the gland. I'm fortunate in that it's producing thyroid hormones but I still feel pretty rotten most of the time. Fatigue, bone pain, feeling cold, brain fog and constipation to name but a few symptoms. My recent private blood

Second blood test - subclinical? Please help!
Hello, I posted here a while ago with results from a Monitor My Health blood test and got some really helpful replies. It was also suggested that I do a full test to get a better picture so I did the Medichecks Advanced Thyroid Function Blood Test and have just got the results - they are saying I may

ANA results question
Hello all, I'm still struggling with symptoms, mainly joint ache and tiredness, although some brain fog too. My doctor is being super helpful, and we have ruled out the menopause. He has noted that I had a positive result in one of my latest blood tests for ANA : Anti-nuclear factor level POSITIVE

nhs stopping b12 injections
I have heard that nhs are stopping b12 injections due to the work load on surgeries.the nurse said that people will have blood tests and those who are above the level will then go onto oral medication.my concern is if they give you a blood test just after your b12 injection then levels will be high and

At last, a review appointment
Fiiinnaallyyy, I have got an appointment to see the consultant for a review/explanation. Only 16 months after diagnosis!!! My liver kicked off just before Christmas and has been grumbling away this past few weeks. Saw GP at start of week and I had said all I got was a letter of diagnosis, no information

Exercise and Low Thyroid: Am I doing more harm than good? Advice, please!
I would like to ask about having low thyroid levels and doing exercise. I have hypo symptoms, and blood tests show low FT3 and FT4, but normal TSH (for reference, last blood test results are below). So far, no doctor or endocrinologist thinks I have any thyroid issue. One of my symptoms has been unexplained

Follow up to my last post about nausea & unable to eat.
Hi again folks. I posted 16 days ago about feeling weak, nauseous & being unable to eat plus my reluctance to go to A & E as I'd been with similar symptoms just a couple of weeks before. Blood results
Have recently had a private blood test done to check my B12, results were 47.4 (range 37.5-188) It was an active B12 test. Notes from doctor were it is borderline, and for me to get a mma blood test next, is this something the gp will do for me even though my results are not low?

First blood test after starting Peg 17/12/2023
Hi, Blood test from 28/12/2023 Platelets down to 427 (previous 580, 560, 504). Elevated Potassium 5.4 and ALT 96. I guess Peg has elevated ALT?? My next FU is March 14th. I’m really hoping I don’t have to increase Peg which is currently 45 weekly.

Beta Blockers Reynauds
Hello, I take propranolol and have noticed I get really numb and pale fingers if they get even slightly cold. I used to get this but it is so much worse now! I have to run my hands under hot water for ages and eventually the feeling comes back into them. I had a blood test today and it happened there

Feeling anxious about appointment....
Just wondering if anyone can shed any information that may help me understand. I've been unwell most of 2023, was in hospital for 8 days with suspected pneumonia. Prior to this I've had abnormal blood tests for a while. I'm anemic but my iron levels, vitamin b12 levels are fine... I've had a number
