Frustrated - please help me with my battle plan :)
In the United States... So, last year my daughter was diagnosed hypothyroid. In studying up on that, I suspected I was too - brain fog, fatigue, low basal temp, high bp, insomnia, mild depression among other things. In Nov. I got doc to order labs. He wanted to take a wait and see based on numbers

Still no treatment (UK)
Hi Everyone In my last post I thought my partner was about to start treatment, but after a 10 minute consultation at Kings he was told he seems to be managing without ( despite meeting the criteria for treatment) and the next appointment was put out 5 months. Since then his blood results have arrived

The journey to recovery (viral meningitis)
Hello and this is my story....I’m about 2 months post viral meningitis and this has been a slow journey to recovery. I had the same experience as most of you, several trips the the ER and my primary care provider and no relief or diagnosis. The only symptom I had that really stood out was the headache

Results - help!
Hello - I've just had my results back. I already knew about the antibodies and tried Thyroxine in 2017 but went a bit hypo on the lowest introductory dose so my GP took me back off (Teva, someone mentioned on here that this particular brand can be problematic). I currently supplement using BetterYou

Frozen Hip and knee Joint
I am a massage therapist. Tomorrow I am taking my client and friend of 16 years, who has PD to a doctor she has never met. Her PA who works for this doctor is on maternity leave. My client’s left leg is so tight at the hip joint and knee joint is so tight that they click like a mechanic’s ratchet handle

Does anyone know of a good doctor here in the United States that is familiar with meningitis?
I live in the United States of America and so far the doctors i have been to are baffled and their idea of testing for meningitis is by touching your chin to your chest and asking if it hurts if it doesn't hurt than they automatically rule out the possibility of meningitis without actually doing a screening

Little bit of hope for hair loss sufferers
Hi all, I know everyone is different but after following this group for 2 years and having some helpful advice I wanted to post an update which may help others. I have been suffering with hair loss for 21 months and lost allot of hair ( over 200 a day). I have had all the blood work under the sun

Weird Physical Symptoms
Hi everyone, I’ve had some weird physical symptoms for a while. It all started with a nasty sinus infection about 2 months ago. Since then my symptoms have been persistent and changing and I know I’ve been really anxious so I try to tell myself that these are anxiety symptoms but I keep freaking myself

Cranioplasty #2
Two year ago - Jan 2017- I received a PMMA 3D printed cranioplasty. The month before I had been hit by a motorbike while on a pedestrian crossing. I had an emergency craniotomy that day, my C5 was broken, I have left side hemianopia and had right side hemiparisis. 2017 was a year of recovery in which

DBS Neuropsychiatric evaluation pretest
Can anyone please shed some light on what is involved in the 4-Hour Neuropsychiatric pretest evaluation? I'm scheduled for DBS surgery on the 28th of February. I'm not a great test taker and I'm worried.

Periodic paralysis and thyroxine
Hi I have serious issues taking my thyroxine medication. If I take too much or my TSH goes too low I go very weak and my legs either won’t work properly or I’m so bad I can’t get off the floor. I’m fully aware of what’s going on during these attacks and never faint this can also happen from any form

Biotin
Hi all, I am wondering whether adding biotin to my diet would be good for my hair or not because my cancer is estrogen strongly positive. Could you please share your experience?

Is it ok to take iodine and biotin?
Hello I’ve read on here iodine shouldn’t be taken by hose with Hashis. I’m getting fed up having loads of different bottles of vitamins and so was exited when I came across a daily vitamin spray which would reduce the number of separate vitamins I’m taking to just one. I’m a big fan of Better You sprays
