Funny old life
Been an up and down couple of days. Unfortunately I lost my Mum on Friday, she had Vascular dementia and had been ill for a long time. She died peacefully and even though she is now not in discomfort it’s still a shock. Yesterday I spoke to my surgeon who said she was going to try and get my cranioplasty

Symptoms endo
Has anyone suffered from hair thinning or hair loss with endo? I’ve started taking biotin to help but apparently I have to take vitamin B with it? Does it make a difference?

Advice on latest results please / suppressed TSH
I started T3 nearly 3 months ago & have had a recent blood test to check my levels. My endocrinologist is concerned that my TSH is now suppressed & could do long term heart & bone damage, although I am feeling generally better on the hypothyroidism symptom side of things. I think when I have my apt,

shingles vaccination
Has anyone had experience of shingles vaccination and if so, any downsides? I have let my fingertips do a bit of research and found that Zostavax has been withdrawn in USA but they are giving Shingrix. It appears that Z is a live vaccine and Shingrix is inactive and more suitable for immunosuppressed

Levadopa
208 years and still NO medicine that stops or improves Parkinson.. Levadopa discovered in 1910 used in 1960's for Parkinson. I'm impressed that researchers can keep a dangerous drug like levodopa as the leading treatment for Parkinson's for so long!!! when it does not even cure Parkinson's and after

GP NEEDED AN NHS BLOODS TO BE DONE
HI all, sorry to bother you so near to Xmas and no need to respond straight away as I know how busy this time of year is. If one of you knowledgeable people would be able to have a look at my most recent blood tests when you have a moment and just let me know what they think before I speak to the doctor

Shingles is urgent!
After a post about Shingles, it is worth pointing out that if you think you have Shingles, contact GP immediately or emergency 'phone number if out of hours as the antivirals have to be prescribed as soon as possible to help. I had Shingles a couple of years ago while on Pred (no Actemra or anything

Help and advice please
Hi, I’ve just recently noticed hair loss patches, one behind my ear and another back of my head. When I phoned my GP he didn’t seem too concerned and told me was down to stress and I should expect more bald patches. Not too helpful and made me feel even more anxious. I spoke to worker in Holland

Vitamin B1 and B3 question
Hi, I am seeing all the posts about Vitamin B1 and Niacin. I currently take a dopamine agonist mirapexin and a MAOI Selegeline low dose plus vitamin E, CoenzymQ as prescribed by my neurologist. I also recently started taking vitamin D. Could someone advise how much B1 and B3 to try and what time of day
