Confused 🤔
Evening all! I posted on here over a week ago regarding taking a private blood test to check my thyroid levels. I had wrongly stopped taking my levo a few days before I was going to take the test until you guys told me it only needed to be 24hrs. So I went back onto my normal dowse of 100mcg for a week

How Can I Improve Hypo Symptoms without Causing Arrhythmia and Results of Thyroid and Adrenal Tests
Hi, A while ago I posted on here with continuing hypo type symptoms eg fatigue, weight gain, hair loss, coldness, while taking 1 grain NDT daily. (I have Hashimoto's and had a partial thyroidectomy in the 1990s due to Graves). The issue is that every time I try to increase my NDT dose, even by as little

Hello,
Hello, I am Joanne, I had a craniotomy June 2016. I was an interpreter for deaf children in schools, had a seizure at work, was rushed to hospital to be told I had a mass on my brain and needed emergency surgery. It turned out to be a massive brain tumour. I lost my speech . It will be 6 years this year

I've spoken to a,doctor from my GP practice this morning, who informed me that I'm no longer hypothyroid but in fact hyperthyroidism latest results 24/01/2022 TSH - 0.03 (0.35 - 5.50) T4 - 19.4(10.0 - 20.0) FT3 NOT TESTED. I requested the thyroid bloods be done again as they were done without warning

My Latest Stack: Anybody want to deep dive on protocols?
So this is my latest stack. I think I have a good list now. Now it is time to fine tune it. Get the dosages and timing right. Will any of it help? I hope so. I have not been diagnosed with PD. I have been diagnosed with REM Sleep Behavior Disorder (with other troubling symptoms). I still have a sore

Latest thyroid results
Had my thyroid bloods done yesterday afternoon at 4pm after eating both breakfast and lunch, whilst taking a biotin containing supplement and because of no warning, I took my levo at 6am yesterday morning. Results TSH 0.03(0.35 - 5.50) T4 19.4(10.0- 20.0) Actually really surprised my T4 level wasn't

Is it safe to take Biotin Supplements to try and promote hair growth & reduce thinning.
Hi! Can anyone in the know about vits & supplements advise or give their thoughts on taking Biotin supplements please... My hairstylist has recommended me taking it to help with my hair thinning, but I have read it can alter your blood test results, so I am presuming rightly or wrongly, that it can change

Cranioplasty tomorrow
After 7 days of Isolation I’m into Kings tomorrow for hopefully my last visit there for a while. I have felt ok but today the nerves are really getting to me, I think because when I had my accident I had no recollection of going for the op and took a while to come back to from the amnesia. Ironically

Hair Thinning 😥! Any success stories and tips?
My hair is increasingly thinning and after a trip to the hair salon today, my hairstylist told me she can see a marked difference in how thin my hair is now 😔😪. I have noticed myself and so I've been using curling tongs to try and give it volume, but she says the heat makes it worse. She did suggest

Over range t4 but still feel hypo. What to try next?
Hi you lovely, helpful lot, would it be possible to have some advice on my latest test results received today? I've been on 150mcg Aristo levo per day for the past 7 weeks taken at 2am, except for the couple of days before my test. Last dose 25.5 hours beforehand. No biotin or (prescription) iron for

Diet and heart health
Hi again. Been doing some reading on diet and heart health and came across a study regarding niacin use alongside statins. Was wondering if anyone has any input on diet to help with narrowing of the arteries, lowering bp and cholesterol ratios. I am vegan just to let you know. Eat plenty of fruit, vegetables

Interesting article on iron, fortified foods etc
In my inbox today from Mark Hyman Most people are aware of the importance of iron but less aware of the nuances associated with it—and where potentially problematic sources might be lurking in our diet. T3 has gone down and T4 over range now
Hello All I’ve got new blood results, this time not via GP but via BlueHorizons. They give a very different reading to my previous result. Previously my results on 175mcg daily were T4 20.1 (12-22) T3 5 (3.4-6) I’ve got central hypothyroidism, so TSH is of no relevance. I still had a lot of hypo symptoms

Blood Test - Medichecks B12
Hi, advice needed please. Just about to get a Medichecks Advanced Thyroid Test done and I note that they say the following "Do not take vitamin B12 for two weeks prior to this test. If your B12 is prescribed ask your doctor whether you should stop before testing". Is this correct about needing to stop
