Irrational thought .
I know this is completely irrational just like most ocd. I worry about blasphemy, I'm not a deeply religious person kike going to church ect,but I like to call myself a Christian. But I do worry if I have a intrusive thought like a flash saying there's no god I worry god is going to put more minds in

Newly diagnosed with osteoperosis
Good evening, I have recently been diagnosed with osteoperosis and have been advised that it is likely that my GP will do further tests (Parathyroid being one) then either offer me HRT or Alendronic acid, however I understand that if this is all caused by my parathyroid then no treatment is possible

Menopause and HRT

My gynae has ruled HRT out for me as the endo used to be so aggressive, particularly in terms of ovarian cysts and she fears that feeding it estrogen will reawaken the beast. When I naively

Question
Do many of you practice mindfulness I've been practicing it years no as a have intrusive thoughts and ruminate in my head to help get rid of them I know that's bad, giving into the compulsions as it makes the ocd stronger so I do practice mindfulness meditation. When ever I get an intrusive thought

reoccurring illnesses.
I’m a 31 year old male just looking to see if what I am currently going through is normal. This may not seem a huge problem to some people because I am only talking about common colds and viruses here but any info will be appreciated. So I am 31yo male, fairly healthy, not obese non smoker. Since

Not sure what to do next?
Hi Everyone Looking for some advice please 🙂 I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's in 2018 and had all the usual symptoms, anxiety, hair loss, insomnia, mild OCD. Endo consultant said my TSH should be targeted at 1, eventually stabilised with 125mcg levothyroxine. All was going well until about 12 months

Help with GP gaslighting
My GP is calling my latest thyroid results ‘borderline’ and doesn’t think it explains my symptoms. I’m livid! 19 months I’ve been waiting for my blood results to get outside NHS normal range from low in range. Now at TSH 0.32 (range is 0.35+). I have an enlarged multinodular goitre, I have iron infusions

mental health in first trimester
I’m wondering what anyone else has done to deal with first trimester stress. And in particular if anyone has any experience with contacting GP etc for support and whether it’s actually helped/ any other things tried? I’m 6w. I’m convinced that it’s a blighted ovum or otherwise already lost/ going

DEXA results worse, trialling HRT
Had my first DEXA scan 2 years ago at 48 due to family history of osteoporosis. I have no other risk factors. Scan showed osteopenia in my hips (overall -1.7) and osteoporosis in spine (overall -3.4). Did not want to take alendronic acid offered by my GP. Asked for medication review with Rheumatology

Hypothyroidism Prevalence in the United States: A Retrospective Study Combining NHANES and Claims Data, 2009–2019
This USA paper discusses prevalence of hypothyroidism in the USA. And comes up with 11.7% in 2019. That same year, the NICE guidelines said "about 2%" for the UK. An astonishing difference. Is the USA figure ludicrously high? Or the UK figure improbably low? Or is there such a large real

calf pain
hey guys sorry again!!! I get CONSTANT right leg pain it’s not always situated in the calf but most of the time it is, it can radiate to my foot or up my leg. One of my biggest anxiety triggers is blood clots! I’ve phoned the dr multiple times about this and they get me to check for lumps, heat, swelling

Everol Conti patch
I’ve been pretty healthy up to the stage of menopause where I really struggle. Started taking HRT two months ago where symptoms improved to my relief but the HRT side effects relate to very mild symptoms of heart attack (confirmed by NHS services). Reduced the patch by half todays ago. Should I cut down
