I’m a 31 year old male just looking to see if what I am currently going through is normal.

This may not seem a huge problem to some people because I am only talking about common colds and viruses here but any info will be appreciated.

So I am 31yo male, fairly healthy, not obese non smoker. Since around august this year my whole family has been inundated with colds, flu, norovirus, covid, ear infections, chest infections ect on a weekly basis. Just this week alone for example on Monday my 4yo daughter had a horrendous cough that lasted until Wednesday then she was ok. Then on Thursday my 1yo son came down with something giving him a very high fever, then on Saturday I was struck with a flu like virus from which I am still suffering ruining my weekend, then on Sunday my daughter came down with the same high temperature and flu symptoms, then today my 1yo after improving now has chest and ear infection. This is just in the space of 7 days! Yes you read that right in 7 days!!! Is this normal.? 2 weeks previous to this I had norovirus rendering me useless for 3 days, 2 weeks before that I was full of cold and then 2 weeks before that I had covid which wrote me off for 2 weeks. Throw in the weekly coughs, colds, runnynoses inbetween and I am about ready to give up.

now I know kids are breeding grounds for viruses but my wife has always worked in young 2-4 age childcare and I never ever got bad more than 2x a year now it’s literally weekly. It is incredibly difficult to deal with. It is negatively effecting my lifestyle as every single week either I am ill or im stuck indoors looking after ill children. I can’t meet friends, I struggle to work. Which I need to do to support my family. It is very depressing. I have lost £1000s in wages over the last couple months I’m lucky my work understand.

My 1yo baby has still not slept through the night even once’s yet so I am very sleep deprived so that could be a reason.

We eat very healthy as my kids live fruit and veg we have healthy meals at least 4-5 nights per week.

My question is have a developed an immune condition or is it simply just a case of I need to book a 2 week holiday for my self?

It would be wrong imo for anyone to try to diagnose reasons why this is happening, particularly without knowing full personal details. For example, there's scientific evidence that covid vaccination can compromise immunity (despite some contention) but that may not apply to you/family Hence I'd recommend contacting a qualified Nutritional Therapist specialising in the immune system

Yes, you are right' they are all normal ailments, but having this many in a short time is certainly not normal. I would suggest getting a professional medical opinion.

It could be you are reinfecting each other with a similar virus or is it possibly something in the environment where you are living ? Some sort of bug going un-noticed in the air or water system ?

A break away for you all may help. Good Luck.
