Will T return?
As I near the end of my 2 years of ADT (Lupron + Abi), I am curious if I should expect a return of Testosterone. I would love to regain my libido and endurance. But after 2 years, I don't know what to expect. My MO has been pretty vague about what to expect. Another issue is that I didn't have a

PSA 6 months after RT
Here is a review of a presentationby Dr. Ravi at ASCO 2023, regarding measuring the PSA at 6 months post radiation treatment, for all risk groups. He found that the 6-month post-RT PSA was highly prognostic of 5- and 10-year rates of metastasis free survival (MFS), Overall Survival (OS), and prostate

Testosterone was nearly back to normal, then dropped
I had a year of Lupron and Enzalutamide in 2022. Testosterone slowly came back to a high of about 240 in June and Sept 2023. Normal for me is around 350 - 375. Now this week T is down to 156. Is this sort of fluctuation normal? I had 6 months of ADT in connection with radiation for recurrent PCa

IMRT WITHOUT THE JELL

Book about red light therapy
Could anyone recommend such a book? I bought a red light lamp some time ago, but haven't really got into using it. Apparently it can be used for mood as well as pain, which is interesting. The light also frightens me a bit, though it is meant not to be harmful to the eyes.

BONE DENSITY TEST IS BAD
I am 68 with low volume metastatic to hip bones. Nothing elsewhere, at this time. Had PSA of 125 last April, and oncologist put me on Relogolix and Darolutemide. That along with going to plant based diet and adding weights and HITT exercise 3-4x per week, has brought me down to < .006. that’s the

Failed RP & SRT; Negative PSMA PET
Greetings. I had a radical prostatectomy that failed and then salvage radiation therapy that appears to have failed as well. A recent PSMA PET scan showed no signs of recurrent prostate cancer or metastases. By way of background: NOV 2010 - Dx at age 52; positive DRE, Gleason 3+3, PSA 5.0; prostate

Holding very low stable usPSA - 0.03X range for six years; no ADT, no chemo.
Eight years ago this month had RP after considerable investigation - nadir 0.050. Eleven months later had salvage RT; done at 0.10. Then after a year of pondering ADT and chemo, when my usPSA was back up to 0.10, I went to Europe for Ferrotran nano-MRI combined with Ga68 PSMA. The nanoMRI lite up

More Evidence Linking ADT for PCa to Adverse Neurocognitive Effects -Meta-analysis shows increased risk of dementia, Parkinson's, depression
As if we needed more reasons to dislike or avoid ADT, here is additional evidence of negative neurocognitive effects. This MedPage Today article will expecially be of special interest to those of us well into our "Golden Years" and on or considering ADT.

PiP - Aids being 'prescribed'
This appears to be coming up a few times from reading previous posts regarding PiP claims. People who have bought their own aids to facilitate an easier existence are being told they cannot count as proof of either disability/change in disability, because they have not been 'prescribed' by the GP. Yet

Looking for Advice: 4 Year Old Recent ADHD Diagnosis
Hi there. My 4 year old son was recently diagnosed with ADHD by a Developmental Pediatrician and Psychologist. This diagnosis stemmed from his preschool recommending we get him assessed and that his behavior was out of the norm to his peers. At this stage the behavior is mostly issues with aggression

Are Lymph nodes a filter?
Do lymph nodes simply act as a temporary filter to prevent cancer from spreading too far? I was curious about this because I have 4th stage prostate cancer, and my Lymph had swelled to the size of a golfball. When I took the ADT, my PSA went from 1000, down to 6, and all evidence of cancer disappeared

Recovery of Testosterone
We all have heard about how long it takes to recover testosterone after you stop ADT. You probably also heard how age affects recovery time. The older you are the longer it takes and the T may never recover. The type of ADT you take can also affect recovery time - shot versus pill. I am 78 and I have
