cardiac ablation good experience
hi everyone, I have just had my cardiac catheter ablation for my ventricular ectopic beats ( I have a very high ectopic load) It has gone well and I was really well looked after by the team . In case anyone is waiting for their ablation thought it might be helpful to share my experience. In my case

vaccinations
Hi good people, I’m 5 mos into Acalabrutinub and finally WBCs are coming down, but still pretty high. It’s time for a flu vaccine and soon the next Covid shot will be available. And there’s the RSV vaccine! I’m wondering about my response to any vaccines at this point in my treatment. My onc says to

Getting the right treatment for left arm pain (not for diagnosis)
As stated really. I posted here a few months ago having had an episode of nausea/clammy/indigestion 2 .5 months ago. This coincidentally happened the week of work stress. Following these symptoms I experienced arm pain on and off and I took myself to A&E admittedly 2 weeks after. They did an ECG, trop

A natural cure for AF!
Ok , I started with occasional AF 15 years ago. I worked out what was causing it , usual stuff alcohol , stress, caffeine possibly salt. Mine lasted about 12/15 hours and returned to normal , started out fast heart beat , slowed after about 3/6 hours and then just out of rhythm for the rest until back

Exercise and Blood pressure meds
I am 51 y/o and was diagnosed with v.high BP in Jan 2024 of 210/130. This stayed high (>198/120) even after a few days and immediately the GP put me on 10mg Amlodipine which reduced my average BP over 3 weeks to approx 155/95. I was then also given 2.5mg Ramipril too (after bloods were fine) and this

Singulair side effect or just anxiety?
I know this med is posted a lot, and there are a ton of different side effects people experience but I am wondering if mine are related to Singulair or if it truly is anxiety. Sorry ahead of time for such a long post! I recently experienced heart palpitations while driving, was lightheaded, faint,

Heart worries
Hi All, I have been having an ache in my chest for a number of weeks. The other night I woke up with chest pain. Ended up in A & E and had all the usual tests - ecg., bloods, chest x-ray. Very conscientious doctor couldn't find a problem although he did say troponin was 'slightly elevated'. Repeated

Covid and flu jab
What’s the experience of anyone who has taken covid vaccination and flu jab at the same time? I have heard(whether it be true or not), that having the jabs 2 or 3 weeks apart could mean feeling less poorly etc. What’s been the experience out there, especially for those who have had jabs(covid and flu

Exercise intolerance
Hi all. Does anyone have any idea how to tackle this please? Just over four months into PCS. At first I had to build exercise back up but managed to get to walking about five miles a few months ago. Not without symptoms and obviously pretty shattered the next day, but I could do it. Over the last

confused with WPW and right bundle block.
Hi all, i'm a little confused. Quick back story.. i went to A+E from a hypertensive spike caused by anxiety (ironically about having my BP taken in the first place). They saw signs of WPW and was diagnosed with WPW Syndrome , despite not having many episodes as such . However, the WPW is clear to see

T3 only and heart rate
Hi all, I was started on liothyronine only 6 months ago and it has been life changing. It has resolved 4 years of debilitating symptoms, including chronic fatigue. I have faulty D102 and am a poor converter. I was finally taken off levothyroxine following abnormal ECG and tachycardia. I had a scan and

Two weeks after ablation and I'm on the list for a cardioversion
It's two weeks today since I had an ablation for AF. I wasn't in AF before or immediately after the procedure but felt bad on day two with racing irregular pulse, dizziness etc. I had an ecg last week which showed me to be in AF and the arrhythmia nurse has called to let me know and tell me that I've

To medicate or not to medicate, that is the question 🤔
Following a recent 24 hour ECG I have been told today, by my GP, that I have ectopic heartbeats. She said they are nothing to be worried about and if they are not affecting my day to day life then no treatment is required but if I feel they are intrusive and affecting me she can provide medication. On

Update on Dan
I've been up the hospital since 10, I've only popped home for a shower and some food. The surgery went well but during the night Dan had a couple of seizures (apparently it's a risk after a craniotomy) but he is on medication and responding well. Me and his Dad went up to visit him and spoke to one

chemo and genetic testing questions
My husband’s genetic testing of the biopsies came back. It’s 19 pages and I am having a super difficult time interpreting. His Oncologist Urologist is overwhelmed with duties and we probably won’t get reviewed at the level we need. attaching the executive summary. They said he tests positive for SPOP

Kardia/ KardiaCare.. is it for me?
I'm now at 11 days after an ablation with rapid and irregular heartbeat and still feeling tired and light-headed. I've just had the follow-up appointment date, it's in early September. I had an ecg last week and am waiting to hear the outcome and plan, if any, from the arrhythmia nurse. I've been looking
