Getting the right treatment for left arm pain (not for diagnosis)

As stated really. I posted here a few months ago having had an episode of nausea/clammy/indigestion 2 .5 months ago. This coincidentally happened the week of work stress. Following these symptoms I experienced arm pain on and off and I took myself to A&E admittedly 2 weeks after. They did an ECG, trop, chest xray which were all fine. They asked if I suffered with anxiety which I don't. The A&,E doctor felt it may be beneficial to be referred to cardio but no referral has been done nor has this been documented on my A&E letter, nor information regarding my chest xray or blood results.

I do however have HD that runs in the family, a parent had an MI at an early age and other family members all have some sort of cardiac treatment. I am also taking hypertensives so this concerns me.

Fast forward to where I am now, 2.5 months later. I am getting the arm pain more and more as work stress has increased. My GP thinks it may be more musculoskeletal which I disagree with, especially now as it is apparent this arm pain coincides with when I am emotionally stressed at work. My GP is going to do blood work and an ecg but I suspect these will be fine.

I need a referral to cardiology I feel and I am thinking it may be angina but whilst I am not looking for a diagnosis here, I am just looking for support and opinions based on your own experiences.

Hello. Sorry to hear your getting arm pain and feel your not getting referred to the correct people to help and diagnose what is happening with your arm. By no means am I medically qualified to say arm pain is not angina related but I have not come across this as a symptom of angina but it may well be for some. If you feel being referred to cardio dept for checks then please go with your gut feeling and push to be referred to that department.Good look and hope you get sorted soon
